I have an SRC, and mine was transferred this month to NBC right after I applied for naturalization.  I got biometrics done back in December.

Do you know if applying for citizenship will delay the 751 adjudication? I've seen in other forums that once you apply for naturalization the case gets transferred. I'm worried that means that they'll approve both the same day so it means having to wait for the full citizenship timeline.

Yes, it is possible that they both get adjudicated together, but I have also seen people get approved for their GC before going to the interview for the N-400.  For what other people in this forum have said, it is more about what you really want.  If your ultimate goal is citizenship, then there is no reason to wait to get your GC.  But for some people it is important to have their 10 year green card in hand at some point of this process.  I just see it as taking the shortest path towards citizenship.  I have always had bad luck wit having to wait longer than other people for my cases to process, so I thought it would be better for me to give the I-751 a kick with my N-400.  Who knows, literally every case is different!

BTW, my estimated completion time for the N-400 is March 2020, estimating an interview being held seven months from now.

You can read about many experiences here:

I have been following this thread since the beginning given that I'm an August filer as well. My case was received on 08/01/2018 and heard diddly squat since then other a random letter I got back in May saying that my case was transferred to Nebraska. I didn't even get the 'Finger prints were waived ' status that most folks on here got and so I was bracing for a biometrics appointment sometime this year. Anyway, I applied for N400 since my ultimate goal was always to be a US citizen and had my biometrics last Friday. I was fully prepared to wait out for the combo interview when I checked my I-751 status this morning at work and saw that it was updated today with a 'New Card is being produced'. I had to do a double check and actually verify that I didn't type the wrong case number, USCIS really did a number on our psyche lol. So now, what does this mean for my N400 case? Does this mean I'll just do the citizenship interview? Do I even bring my spouse for that interview? Figured I'd update you guys as well seeing as you were very informative and I learnt a lot from reading the replies on here.

You will receive your 10 year green card in about one week, and that will complete the I-751 application case. Your N-400 application is will be processed as though your I-751 is completed and approved.

guys, I'm so so tired of this process. log in to uscis 100 times every day and nothing... 😔

Always make sure after logging in USCIS case Tracker, or My USCIS to after entering your Case Number and enter, once you reach results page REFRESH that Page. When I did this my results status changed, it was stuck on you don't need to do anything at this time. After I refreshed the page, it changed to your card is being produced.
