Basically my husband's case as per uscis was entered into their system on Sept 21. Which was when the noa was supposed to mailed out. His gc expires on oct 7, we saw nothing was coming into the mail even when we called uscis to check. So finally we just decided to contact our congressman to see what they can find out for us. Because they have contacts with the service centers.

Finally they talked with the Cali center and confirmed the letter was sent on 21st but not sure why it didn't make it to is yet. So they gave the congressman a digital copy and resend a duplicate copy to mail to us

That's great news your congressman was able to help you and your husband. I will be contacting my congresswoman Monday. Thanks for the heads up!

I do find it hard to believe they mailed NOA's when they say they did. There are about 15-20 of us waiting on NOA's and our checks were cashed around the same time. I think there was some kind of a glitch in their system or USPS is at it again.

My congressman said according to her liason at the Cali center people like us whose cases were entered on the 21st all seem to have a glitch on that say in geting getting the noa. Because yesterday when the congressman put me on hold to conract the Cali service it appears we were the third case of the say asking about the noa with a filing date of the 21st...so yes I think a huge glitch not just for this date but for a lot of other people too. So instead of just calling uscis to find out what is going on...since they can't seem to know anything...call your congressman. Also it is voting season, they Prbly work harder to help you but also to help themselves get elected or reelected

By the way guys...another funny thing I saw from my husband's noa

The letter noted that the case was received Aug 20. The date that we got confirmation from usps that it was delivered to Cali. But on the website it said we submitted Sept 21...that is confusing...took a month and a say to enter the case into the sytem but  was able to generate a letter on the day Thu received the case?

But because it is a duplicate..the notice date has been changed to oct 18, yesterday.

The noa is also two pages...pretty detailed.

I got a letter today in the mail about this service request. It essentially states that my NOA was returned as undeliverable by the USPS but they are resending one to my address. I don't know what happened with it since my address on file was correct when I called and I know I updated my address when I moved because I have a receipt number for that. Anyway, the letter states that I should receive my NOA within 10-14 business days. I'll let you know when I get it!

Received my NOA today!!! Here's my updated timeline:

Received by Lockbox (CSC😞 08-10-18

Check was cashed (By Phoenix): 09-24-18

NOA: 10-19-18 (It says Nebraska Service Center)

**Extra steps:***

**Called and had it re-sent: 10-10-18**

**Received service request verification: 10-19-18**

Somehow, the system isn't letting me update my timeline here at VisaJourney.

I'm trying to put in my NOA date 10-19-18 (also tried the one written on the form 10-15-18).

Here's the error:

"WARNING: There appears to be a mistake in your form!

One of the dates or entries you entered seems to be incorrect. Here are a few common reasons why:

Some dates may be entered incorrectly or out of order (ex: An NOA2 date before and NOA1 date).

Time between when a petition (ex: I-129F) was mailed to the USCIS and the NOA1 (Notice of Receipt) may be too long. NOA1s (the date on the form itself) should be within four weeks (max) of the date you originally sent the form to the USCIS.

Click the button below to return to the previous screen to fix the problem (problems will highlighted in red)."

I imagine it's because of the "Time between petition and NOA1" error since my dates are not within 4 weeks due to the delay. Does anyone know who to report this to? or how to fix it?

Thanks!

Apparently they did some checking in Aug. Like it was accepted at Cali when we sent it, but it wasn't 'received' until it was transferred. We have the same issue. Because how would they know? My guess they accepted. Entered some basic stuff and put them in a pile.

Do we really need to contact a congressman for a digital NOA? A T2 couldn't get that service request sent?

Hey, I have complete faith in the USPS! Yes I'm one of those that have never had a missing package...

i dont think uscis well give you a digital copy,i think it was just because the congressman asked for it and that is why it was given。

i would assume the t2 ppl would just tell you to wait。。。cause the hardcopy should be the one you really need。。。

for my husband, even though we are in no rush, but we are pushing this because they cant just leave us in the dark,we need answers

Actually we just need something for work. Not dealing with possible travel plans right now. If the MyCaseStatus would work that would be nice.
