Filed early this month at VSC, I received NOA1 about 2 weeks ago extending my Green card for 18 months. As expected, the EAC number does not work on the USCIS case tracker website.

I received the biometrics notice today (the biometrics appointment is in two weeks time, early September). However: unexpectedly, my biometrics appointment notice didn’t have a second receipt/case number, only the same EAC number as was on my NOA. I’m not sure what the really means as I was sure others had received a second receipt number that they could use on the USCIS website.

Question:

Did ALL of you use a cover letter with the application? I just read it is not required to do so, but helpful if you have unusual circumstances or need to clarify the details of your case.

I did but only because I always send some kind of check list with my work.  That way I can check that everything is in there.  I didn't include photos though.  All the other stuff seemed like so much that I didn't want it to weigh 30 pounds.  😇

What date did you send application and what date did you recieve NOA?

The expiration date was sometime in 2017 and it's not like I missed it by a few weeks either.. 🤔

Yeah, my first reaction was F**********CK 😳😳😳, now it's more like 🙄🙄🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

It's just annoying that precious time has been wasted since I plan to go home next year.

I thought I downloaded the correct form before filling it out... or did I use the one I saved on my computer a while ago? I really don't remember.

Oh well, all it means is that I have to resubmit everything again. I'll do it first thing Monday and hope for the best.

Try not to panic yet! Yours could have a different reason for the delay. Did you try calling them?

Wow, sorry to hear that.

I know how emotional it can get. I'm in the same boat and I'm blaming my mistake and forgetfulness on the baby. 😜😅

Give it a few more days. If they say to wait, there is nothing you can do about it and worrying crazy isn't good for you two.

@magicalunicornpee congrats as it is indeed a good sign. Vermont seems fine with the check cashing process, however, California looks backlogged badly as it has been 24 days since my packet was delivered and nothing. You can see from the Califonia Service Center filers none of us got any reply.

Hi,  whe. did you send yours ? I sent my application out on the 6th and recieved and signed for on the 7th aug... still havent heard anything back. Cheque has not been cashed and no noa :( I sent to california service center

I read in other Forum USCIS don't send e-notifications for I-751 even if you mailed G-1148 Form.

Hi !! Any update ?? Noa ? Did you get a stamp? I went to get a stamp but they refused because I did not have the noa. I've sent mine out on the 6th, was received and signed on the 7th and still nothing.
