Hi!

Sent my package last Saturday and it should arrive today. I just scanned thru the posts and can't believe the amount of evidence you guys submitted... WOW! 😳😳😳

I may have about 30 pages max!

Let's see if they end up asking for more. I'll keep you posted.

Hope we all have a smooth and FAST process. 🤞

I totally feel like QUALITY of proof is preferred for USCIS officers. I would be pissed if I got a 500+ page application to review ha ha! Mine was 130 pages, but a lot of it was to support why we do our finances separately, things like that.

USCIS Process:

Sent I-130 (via Canada Post): Feb 29, 2016

NOA1 hardcopy received: March 16, 2016

NOA2 approval text & email: June 9, 2016

-------------------------------------------------------

NVC Process:

Case number and IIN Assigned: July 5, 2016

Choice of Agent (DS-261) completed: July 6, 2016

IV application (DS-260) completed: July 12, 2016

Sent AOS & IV packets (Electronic Processing): July 14, 2016

CC: July 20, 2016

Medical: September 13, 2016

Interview: September 19, 2016 APPROVED!

POE: October 31, 2016

I know, right? I would probably not even review all of it 😜 130 pages seems a lot too. Now I'm curious how many I had..never counted and didn't make copies either. I have my cover page so I know what I put in, but I refused to waste more paper on copies.

I have put a lot of work in the previous applications and figured this time I will only provide what they ask, nothing extra...and all those additional copies we were 'supposed' to make for all the applications.. never needed it (maybe one copy of the 'important' stuff for my own reference) that's it.

So, we shall see...

Good grief.  I am preparing my packet and just have:

1.  Deed for house.

2.  Loan we took out together

3.  IRS Transcripts

4.  3 letters of affidavits

5.  Beneficiary (only listing him as he contracts and does not have one for me)

6.  Joint MC bills (a couple from 2017 and a couple from 2018)

7.  Joint Bank Statements (a couple from 2016, 2017, 2018)

8.  Joint Utility bills (a couple form 2016, 2017, 2018)

9.  Tax bills

10.  Cancelled checks for major purchases

Do you need your marriage license and photos.  They didn't ask for any of that.

Thanks for your advice.

Yes you need to attach a copy of your marriage certificate. You must attach some pictures taken together and with friends and family in various events. I did join car ownership documents,Authorization for Release of Health Information to each others, greeting cards, letters (with envelopes) addressed to me in our home address. Flights tickets of our trips together, copy of my pay check addressed to our home

I don’t think the marriage certificate is necessary. They already know you’re  married. Had this topic come up in another forum.

What about all the pics....I should have sorted them ages ago but they are all 'numbered' on my inbox :S

Preparing my packet.

Do the copies of Green card and DL need to be in color? I only have a black and white printer.

Also, our DL has a different apartment number than where we are living now. We stayed at the same complex but moved apartments. I assume I will need to update that before submitting?

Thank you!
