Affidavits submitted must be originals? That's what the I-751 Instructions suggest, but I'm wondering if others see something saying otherwise?

I submitted the originals and make sure you retain a copy for yourself.

I dont tbink they've suggested to submit copies from what I know.

Anyone know if it's OK to send the package along with rubber bands? See picture...

I'm quite literally at the top of 3.5" Acco Fasteners... I even had to remove some evidence ( wasn't particularly needed ). The fasteners are clipped, but barely. The rubber bands are more for stability than anything.

I'm going to write on the top of the form the purpose of the submission, etc. I was going to go to the Post Office tomorrow but I wanted to give it another check to be sure it all is good and organized.

For the check, I'm using two small clips ( not Paperclips) to attach the check vertically, so I have two edges to attach to and not interfere with the two hole punch.

I have about 15-20 photos for 2016, 2017, 2018 each, with about 4 photos on each page, so figure around 15 pages total of photos, each with Captions of who's in the photo, where is the photo taken place, and the date. In most cases I indicated what's going on.

Are you taking the copies of the pics on the paper or you are sending the actual pics?

So what I did was I collected all my photos from 2016, 2017, 2018 in my case, organized them like I normally would for my photos, then I go through the photos ( with thumbnails to find ones of the two of us quickly), then I turn on "preview pane" in Windows. I installed a screenshot utility and took screenshots of the photo that was shown in the Preview Pane. I put each screenshot into word, have it take up 1/2 of the page width wise, 1/4 of the page length wise. Then on the right of the picture, I put the caption.

So everything's electronic, until I print it of course :)

Hello, I finally created an account here since I will be filing in the coming weeks and have so many doubts! Thank goodness for this forum.

I have been using binder rings to hold my pages together rather than an acco fastener. Any thoughts on this?

History:

ROC  (pending)

  • 8/14/18: Mailed to CSC
  • 9/26/18: Check cashed in AZ

According to USCIS...

In preparing your packet, remember:

  • Do not use binders or folders that we cannot easily disassemble.
  • Use fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.
  • Sticky tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. For easy filing, place the tabs on the bottom of the page, not the side.
  • Do not use heavy-duty staples; instead use fasteners or heavy clips.
  • Do not submit originals unless specifically required.
  • Do not submit oversized documentation unless it is necessary.
