@wendykay Congratulations dear! Happy for you... :)

@Abies @Saaniya @Rameda I resubmitted my documents on 18th Aug by mail and NVC received them on 23rd. Still no CC. Saaniya’s CC was 31st July and no interview date yet.. Will I also not know anything till Sept end? 😔 I’m feeling so restless these days. I can’t wait for my husband to meet our baby...

I wonder what's going on with mumbai counsulate these days .. very unfortunate.  Almost a month and no interview date yet.. which is quite rare going by the history of how the dates are alotted. One can say nothing till something happens.

I thought your embassy is now pivot.

Nonetheless, you guys are already on the move. Call NVC to review the ds261 over the phone with you guys so that you can have access to make payment.

Speedy NVC process to you dear

It isn't pivot yet but the process is moving faster so nervous and excited at the same time.

Just reviewed the ds261 over the phone and also paid the aos fees 😁😁

Pretty excited now since the next fees also got active but we have been asked to wait for the email which we shall receive by tomorrow so just hanging in there.

How are things at your end buddy?

Thanks once again @Abies

Inspired by @Saanish I decided to call NVC and YES!!! WE RECEIVED OUR CASE NUMBER TODAY!!!  NVC received our case July 24, 2018 and so 34 days later we have our case number yay!  We really weren't anticipating it would be this early so I guess NVC is moving quicker on non-pivot cases too.  Fortunately, we have all docs locked and ready to load!

@Abies and any of our other friends out here, we have a question?

Can we start filling ds260 or we should do that post paying both the fees?

Anything that we need to keep in mind while filling ds260?

If your payment(IV fee) now shows PAID,you can go ahead to complete the ds260.

Hello everyone 🙂

Just received my Canadian Police Certificate today from the RCMP and wanted to ask a quick question to anyone that can answer please. The officer asked me what type of Police Certificate did I need, either a search based on the name and date of birth or fingerprints. I just got the search based on my name and date of birth, it this correct? On the Police Certificate it has the comments, "This certifies that a search, based on the above name and date of birth, failed to disclose any such person with a record of a criminal convictions in the national repository for criminal records in Canada".  " SEARCH NOT CONFIRMED BY FINGERPRINTS". The officer was kind of annoyed that I hesitated with my answer and told me that I should know this before coming in to request the certificate, so I just gave the answer that I thought was best from information that I have read in the "NVC for Montreal Beneficiaries – Electronic Processing and New Online Forms Guide".

Also I just called the NVC and my case was just received today, Aug 27th.

Hope next steps moves more quickly now at the NVC. Agent gave standard 6 weeks to process and add to database. Good luck to everyone with CC and getting interviews scheduled. @Abies You were EXACTLY right, our case was sent to the NVC Aug 20th and today Aug 27th was received. (7 days) What will we do without you !!
