Hello,

I have been looking for you to try and find where I read the comments on the interview wait times for the Montreal Consulate. You might have tried this already, but if you click on the Canadian flag under Canada it will give you different topics and quick links you can choose from. At the time I was reading this info I think it was under Recent or Hot topics. There is still some information there but you might have to do a search at the top of the page beside, sign up. If there is anyone else that can provide information on Montreal Consulate interview wait times it would really help. I think 1 reason is CC’s were or are getting backed up for booking interviews because of employees were taking holidays. Honestly, I have read so much about this process I have to force myself to take a break sometimes. I will continue looking though.

Awe thanks so much for being so kind! No worries to look too hard on my behalf but I really appreciate the information!!

Montreal is backed up currently with folks having taken vacations. The average wait time for an interview is now around 2.5 compared to just under 2 months previously. There are still folks waiting from mid-July CC on interviews. They’ll be interviewing in October as all September dates have been issued.

Thanks for the info. My CC was late August so I should probably expect an interview in late October or November then? Just gotta keep being patient >.< :P

You’ll likely come in at the very end of October, or the beginning of November. My case should close next week and I’m just accepting that it’s going to be November before we get ours. Who knows though, they could open up more slots to make up for the vacations and we could get super lucky. :):)

@Abies and all the wonderful people out here who have been supporting each other, I am delighted to let you all know that just yesterday we got our welcome letter with the case number and the invoice I'd. It took exactly one month from when NVC received our case from USCIS.

All the best to everyone who is patiently waiting...

Question how do you know when NVc received your case? I got a petition on my mom and dad. I received notification that my mom was approved by USCIS. Now how do I find out when NVC receive it? Can I do somenthing to spped this part of the process?

Start calling NVC to know if they have received your approved petition from USCIS 7days after you get notified on your USCIS app that your case has been sent to the Dept Of State.

All you need to do is call up NVC after 1 week of you receiving the notification of approval. You will only be able to know when you call them.

Currently there isn't any way to speed up this process

All the very best 😊

No I actually have not thought about that, thank you! I didn't realize that could be grounds. I'm currently still in the process of uploading the final documents (waiting for police report). If all those have been uploaded and I have a CC, maybe then I could make an expedite request.

You don't actually have to wait for CC to request an expedite, although if you're already at that stage, it might not make much of a difference. This blog post has some information on what to include in your email if you're requesting an expedite during NVC processing: http://www.lovevisalife.com/2017/09/nvc-expedite-request-us-spouse-visa/ Not sure this applies directly to your situation, but it at least has the NVC expedite email and instructions of what to include in your request. Good luck!

The process has startled us a bit.

We have submitted DS261

Will be calling on Monday to review it with the reps and then pay the fees 😊

When is you interview date? I am sure you are all excited and happy.

This whole thing takes a toll at times
