When should I start applying for my Police certificate ?:)

Get it now, they last for one year.

You're gonna need it for the NVC and you will have to submit it in the next few weeks, also if your police report comes back "no live trace" you will need a Subject Access Report from ACRO also.

I would do it now, for Sydney they accept any Police Certificate less than 12 months old - I can't comment for London specifically but I think this is common.

Obviously timeframes for getting the certificate completely varied depending on country, but sometimes at NVC things can move surprisingly fast and you can get caught out holding up the process on yourself if you aren't prepared.

12/26/17 - NOA1

06/27/18 - NOA2 (+183 days)

07/11/18 - Case sent to NVC (+14 days)

07/18/18 - NVC Received (+7 days)

08/10/18 - NVC Case Number (+23 days)

09/06/18 - All Docs Submitted (+27 days)

09/19/18 - Case Complete at NVC (+13 days)

10/18/18 -  Interview appointment letter received (+29 days)

11/20/18 - Interview Date (+33 days) - APPROVED!

11/26/18 - Visa Received

Morning all,

i would like to know too

how/where one can find out if your case is pivot or not?

Thanks

Call the NVC and they will tell you if your case is electronic or not.... If they tell you to call back and press option #5 then your case is PIVOT / Electronic.

Hi everyone,

i am in the processing of gathering all of my docs.  Still waiting for a case number to be assigned (approved on 7/19; sent 7/31; rcv’d 8/7),

my questions

•Is there a specific checklist of requested docs to be sent to NVC ? ( or varies based on each case or country )

•if so, can anyone share with me what would I need to send them aside for what The DS 260; 261; i864...

Want to be prepared and not delay myself additionally...

sorry if they have been asked and answered already

I’m currently visiting him and want to get all necessary docs from my spouse that I would need to send to NVC

I got mine today and it says "no trace" on the bottom. Is that ok? Doesnt mention live trace. I just figured that confirmed I have nothing on my police record because I've never done anything! Haha

Yeah that's fine, you won't need the subject access report... I on the other hand was a little bit naughty in my early 20's, I got a "no live trace" so I had to a a report

hello! anyone who resubmitted their documents as required by NVC? how long did it take for them to review again?

Our case is now pivot, we initially uploaded the documents last Aug 4, got the notice to resubmit 2 docs on Aug 12 and was able to provide them on Aug 13.  No update til now :(

We just replaced the document and did not upload it as anew.  We called the support as the upload date still reflects Aug 4 and not the date that it was replaced (should be Aug 13) but he also do not know why it didn't modify the date although the status was updated from "Rejected" to "Submitted".  He just said to just keep it as they can see the updated documents.  Hopefully this will not cause further delay on their review :(

Hello. We re-uploaded docs as well as few days ago. Still waiting for them to be reviewed.

My husband and I have submitted everything now. So it's just a waiting game. I am slightly nervous as we didn't add a joint sponsor and my husband is currently unemployed.

He has stated that he is studying full-time and has taken a year out of employment to study for his degree to improve his career. He has the amount needed in savings which I believe is four times the poverty line amount? He has tax returns from previous years where he's earnt over the required amount. He hasn't worked in 2018. Think it will be ok? Or will they insist on a co sponsor?
