The police certificate required for RUSSIA is not needed in order for the interview to be scheduled. However, thepolice certificate must be obtained and submitted before the visa interview. For information regarding an acceptable police certificate, please use ourDocument Finder at https://nvc.state.gov/find

 What does it mean?

Congratulations on your CC...

It means you should get the PCC before your interview since you will be submitting during the time of yourinterview.

Then call NVC for clarification.

We called them, and a Lady said that it means just to bring the Police Clearance Certificate with us to the interview...and she also was confused by the way it was phrased...bcuz again , the PCC was already uploaded and accepted on our CEAC account

Congrats @arellah! We submitted August 11th as well and I am pretty sure we just got CC, but I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks we should do:

Here's what happened:

1) Got an email saying that my police certificate was incorrect.

2) I reviewed the document and compare it to the info in the link they sent me. Everything they said should be on there was on there.

3) Called NVC and talked to an agent who agreed with me. Her supervisor sid she would forward the document back to the reviewers.

4) We got a blank email (no message in the CEAC website)

5) a few hours later I checked the CEAC website and we got a new message that says "All required documents have bee received and approved.  DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED."

However, on our main page it still says that we have an invalid document.

Has anyone heard of this? I'm calling NVC now but since the wait is so long I thought I would check with you guys too haha.

Congrats on your CC. When did you resubmit ? In a similar boat, had two rejected docs , one without explanation. Called NVC and they explained to me. Resubmitted everything yesterday. Hoping they give me CC asap.

Is it true that NVC is taking longer time to assign case number for pivot cases compared to regular cases ?

This is very anecdotal and based on my experience alone, but I am pivot and I got my case number after 29 days. On one of the calls I made to NVC, the rep told me when I asked how long he thought I would have to wait that "because your case is electronic (i.e. pivot), it should be faster that non-electronic."

Hi everyone! Question for those of you who have used a Joint Sponsor. We are relying on current income from both a joint sponsor (my sister) and her husband. She filled out a Form I-864 and he filled out a Form I-864A as her household member. In the CEAC home screen, do I add him as another joint sponsor or as a household member? Not sure it even matters, but I don't want to imply that he is my household member by selecting the wrong option. Thanks!

---

Edit: I think I solved my own problem. I think he should be added as a Household Member since he signs as such in the I-864A. Please correct me if you have confirmed this is incorrect in your experience, though! :)

hello! anyone who resubmitted their documents as required by NVC? how long did it take for them to review again?

Our case is now pivot, we initially uploaded the documents last Aug 4, got the notice to resubmit 2 docs on Aug 12 and was able to provide them on Aug 13.  No update til now :(

We just replaced the document and did not upload it as anew.  We called the support as the upload date still reflects Aug 4 and not the date that it was replaced (should be Aug 13) but he also do not know why it didn't modify the date although the status was updated from "Rejected" to "Submitted".  He just said to just keep it as they can see the updated documents.  Hopefully this will not cause further delay on their review :(
