I'm non-pivot, can I mail NVC the package with my documents as soon as the IV fees are marked as paid? or do I need to fill out DS-260 before I send them?

You do not have to  fill out DS-260  before you send AOS and IV package. I mailed my AOS and IV package before I filled out DS-260.

Oh man! What a relief! Thank you so much. We will make sure she gets an updated one right before the interview. Hopefully we get our interview date soon! We're all starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel thankfully 😁. Thank you for all of your help and advice.

You’re welcome!

And just so you know about Medicals, I wanted to book with Dr. Dennis but the secretary insisted me to book an appointment for blood tests. I called the blood tests clinic and a very rude lady told me it’s a walk in thing. So I called Dennis back again and she wouldn’t take that as an answer..so I went ahead and booked with Dr. Roa, I currently spoke to someone having a physical exam last week with him and all was good and normal. Kinda sad about being unable to book with Dr. Dennis but everything happens for a reason .. ☺️

On the new USCIS website, once they send the case to NVC, there should be an update that says "We sent your case to the U.S. Department of State (DOS) for visa processing". The official word is that it can then take up to 6 weeks for NVC to receive the case, but this varies from case to case and depends on which Service Center it is sent from. My case took 1 week between the USCIS notification it had been sent to NVC confirming they received. You won't get a notification once NVC receives the case, so if you want to know that date, you need to call. Once they receive your case, they will assign you a case number, but that can take up to 8 weeks and also seems to vary wildly - some people get it much quicker than that.

Case number is the most frustrating part of the process from uscis approvaleverything else is faster mine was assign three weeks and five days but didn't receive until eight week hopefully you will get yours sooner once the usscis change to department of state call and confirm then wait four weeks start calling remind them nvc is time to take action not wait time like uscis

Either of them is fine but your documents will not be scanned into their system until you have completed your ds260.

Hi guys how do you found out the scan date on ceac or the date of cc?

Call NVC to know your when your docs were scanned in.

The date your status on CEAC changes to "At NVC" is your CC date but will be best, when you call the NVC for confirmation.

Pivot or Non- pivot?

If it's pivot,it can take from few mins to 3weeks to get a Case complete.

If it's non-pivot,it takes 1 business day after NVC receives the package to get all docs scanned into the system(scan date) and 5-10 business days to get a Case Complete.

I hope this really helps.
