Yup, they looked at it on the 4th day since i sumbitted, i just hope it does not take them long to review it again. Are you waiting for cc too?

Yes, I know they give the 3 week estimate, but from other timelines I've looked at, once you respond to the checklist, they get back to it much sooner than that.

Oh, ok. Right, they want all pictures and documents vertical/portrait orientation, because I figure that makes their filing easier? I am fairly sure everything we submitted was scanned vertically.

I have just gone back into CEAC and made sure all my documents are vertical and now readable... That was lucky as you would have had to stand on your head to read my passport!

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad you checked!!! Yes, we made sure everything is portrait, like you could turn a page in a book and read left right, top down. Not sure how that works for those who have horizontal birth and marriage certs!

Yeah you have described it perfectly, I was trying to find the right words to explain what view I meant!...  It all seems pretty crazy really as it literally takes seconds to rotate the view, it doesn't make sense that it would delay the process?!

They don't want to touch that, though. I think they must just go through documents, check orientation and legibility, and then they want it to be perfect to send to the embassy. But hey, we'll see... When did you finish uploading everything?

I have only uploaded my civil documents so far... The Sponsor and Co-Sponsor info & I-864 etc. I have left to my attorney, seeing as I have already paid them in full I should at least get them to do some work!

Oh this is really good info, as I am going to upload document tomorrow morning. So scan all documents vertical? So the bottom of the page would be at the left of the scan, and the top would be at the right?

I probably sound silly, but I wanna get it right! You guys rock :)

EDIT: Wait... I think I made this too complicated on myself LOL. I understand now. It has to be vertical to read it, just like a book. Ignore me! :P

I tried to upload an example, but the file is too big and anyway... Yes, you just want the final scans to read like a book. So for passport, you want the bottom edge of all the way to the left of the scanned image (so vertically it reads left to right, top down)-- sounds confusing, but I think you got it.

That makes sense! It'll be interesting to scan my marriage certificate that way haha! Thanks for the explanation :)

See, that's what I was saying, if your marriage cert is horizontal, I'm not sure what they want. If that's the case, I would upload both landscape and portrait versions?

Okay, I will do that for sure just to be safe. I actually might end up being able to scan them in tonight, so I'll keep you all updated on which one they preferred.

They actually mean orientation of the words and not the document itself. The want to be able to read the words horizontally from left-to-right and it has to be legible.  Same thing happened to me. The was the message I received on the CEAC site: "This document is not in the right-side up position. Please replace this with a scan which displays the words horizontally on the screen. "  But I don't blame you for putting it both ways, doesn't hurt, and each time you have to resubmit a document, you have to wait all over again!!! And if it's the wrong way and not legible enough to read, they will only send one message at a time. I was given the orientation message first, then when I decided not to rescan and just fix the orientation in Adobe and submit, they sent an error on that as well, even though I was able to read it. Scans in full color has been best.

Best wishes with everything!

Great advice! Glad you finally got everything accepted.

I'm fully expecting them to reject my I-864 because I had to submit it in (2) PDFs due to file size after compression (I tried, I tried, trust me)... I understand CEAC is supposed to be faster, but it doesn't mean it's not frustratingly particular :)
