@Tristan1978 and @MC1, you were right! Woke up this morning to case complete. My case status says "At NVC" and I received an email from NVC saying they'll work with Sydney consulate on the interview.

I did have some messages from NVC on CEAC that I need to call them about saying:

  • They need my W-2s for 2017 - these don't exist because all of my income in 2017 was earned overseas.
  • They need the W-2s for my joint sponsors - I didn't think this was necessary if you provided tax transcripts? We can get it, it will just cost us international postage as our joint sponsors are not comfortable emailing documents containing social security numbers.
  • They need an Australian police certificate - this was a weird one. We provided the Australian police certificate and it is marked as "Accepted" in CEAC. In the comments on the UK police certificate, however, they said we need to provide an Australian one. I'm going to do some research today to make sure we provided the correct kind of certificate.

Regardless, we are documentarily qualified, so none of this should hold up an interview date!

How would you know which countries are pivot and which once are not? Is there a list somewhere?

I was trying to find a list as well about a month ago. If one exists, I never found it. However, when I called NVC to see if they had received our case, they informed me our case was pivot and to call back and press 5 to speak with someone who handled pivot cases. Prior to that I had also tried clicking on the "portals" tab here and checking out posts from other Singapore filers but none mentioned pivot. Until now :)

Thanks!

As for timing - no idea. Our interview date timelines are likely to be different, though since it depends on your consulate and we're in different countries.

What do you mean it depends on consulate I though nvc schedules interview

NVC works with your local consulate to schedule an interview based on availability at the consulate. So yes, while NVC schedules the interview, the date you ultimately get depends on availability of time slots at your consulate.

Ours was the same, all accepted with a few advisors saying they could not except certain documents because of minor reasons, couldn't see stamps clearly etc.

NVC said it means that they need to inspect the document in person,  bring it all along to the interview and all should be good.

Hi everyone. Couldn't find a thread for September 2018 approvals/NOA2 so I'm posting here I hope you guys don't mind. I'm just a little curious and this might be off topic though, how many days/weeks from Case Approved (from website my.USCIS.gov notification) to "case sent to DOS" and to NVC welcome letter?

Guys,

I have submitted DS-260 and sent documents by email 4 days back.

Does NVC send any email acknolwedgement?

If I call them, after how many days can I expect NVC to acknowledge that they can at least see that everything is submitted? I Don't have anything except for status on the website against each name showing "completed" and fees "paid".

I know they take up to 3 weeks to review but have they even received everything in the system?

Any help will be appreciated.
