NVC Filers - August 2018

Call the NVC to send you the invoice for IV fee because that's where you have the Beneficiary I.D Number to proceed else you will not be able to make the payment for IV fee.

Here is my experience so far:

 

8/27/2018 - I called and received the case number and invoice ID number.  I also gave them my email address and my wife's email address.  

 

8/27/2018 - 11:30pm Pacific Time, I received an email with the welcome letter that also instructed us to pay the AOS fee & IV fee.  I immediately logged onto the CEAC and both fees were active.  I paid both fees one at a time by 11:50pm.  Fees both showed as 'In Process'

 

8/28/2018 - Fees show as 'In Process' still.  At 5pm I overnighted all AOS docs which includes the I-864ez and IV docs to NVC using FedEx.  They will be receiving them by 5pm today 8/29/2018.

 

 8/29/2018 - Both fees are charged to my bank account but CEAC still shows 'In Process'.   I called NVC once again and was informed that the payments should clear by 8/30/2018 in which case the DS-260 will open up. I was also told that once they receive our documents via FedEx the documents will immediately go into our file and will be reviewed once our DS-260 is completed. 

 

8/30/2018 - Tomorrow I should be able to complete the DS-260 then Steps 1 through Step 5 will be complete and we just wait for the CC.

Okay friends... Questions.

 

I submitted all of my documents and didn't realize that my husband's police certificate did not save the appropriate layout and changed back to landscape on me. Of course they want me to fix it. I received the email a little over an hour and a half ago. I tried to login to correct this, but they haven't opened up files again for me to correct. The whole section still shows submitted. Called NVC and the lady said they may still be reviewing all of my files. All of my AOS files have changed to accepted, so I know that they are finished there. My IV App still shows completed. Once the IV App has been reviewed, do they change the status to something else?  I'm just wondering if they're busy in that section still and haven't finalized their work, or if they have simply forgotten to unlock it so changes can be made?

Since you sent your aos/iv package via email(pivot case),you will receive a mail after all requested documents have been reviewed that you are documentarily qualified and that you are in line to scheduled for an interview.

So your fee payment status still shows "IN PROCESS"?

v ap will still show complete even when they finish reviewing it my dear but other documents will say accepted fees will also change from paid to N/A

I'm sorry, maybe I'm not explaining this appropriately.

 

I got an email to correct a file. I logged in, but it is locked and still showing submitted as the status. Meaning I can't make any changes. The email was received 2 hours ago. I called the NVC to see why I was still locked out. The lady said they must still be reviewing the file. I'm just wondering if they made a mistake in forgetting to unlock the files so I could resubmit. That's why I asked if the IV App status changed or not. Thank you @happilyvisa for letting me know that the status does not change for the IV App. So now I just have to wait a bit longer to see if it unlocks, or call them again. They never changed any of the civil docs to accepted or unlocked anything.

Mine shows At NVC what does that mean they are still reviewing my case or they finished reviewing and hasn't update yet I am confused i resubmitted doc yesterday right away yesterday when I got email?
