If your payment(IV fee) now shows PAID,you can go ahead to complete the ds260.

We got the IV invoice today. We shall be paying it today itself.

I guess we would be done with the process by coming Monday including mailing the documents to NVC as we have it in place 😊

Fingers crossed now for faster reviews

Inspired by @Saanish I decided to call NVC and YES!!! WE RECEIVED OUR CASE NUMBER TODAY!!!  NVC received our case July 24, 2018 and so 34 days later we have our case number yay!  We really weren't anticipating it would be this early so I guess NVC is moving quicker on non-pivot cases too.  Fortunately, we have all docs locked and ready to load!

So so happy for you

I exactly know that feeling!

And being a non pivot case, it really has surprised me in a good way

All the best for the 'faster half' of the process (hopefully)

So we called the NVC again about our matter,

and the customer service rep. said, that everything is reviewed and accepted and they are working on an interview appointment. all this only took 5 days!

I did ask about the two messages we got on there, and he just said, to be on the safe side, I should submit a letter saying that we will bring the rest to the interview and I did submit new picture of my previous US Visa.
All this was put under "additional Documents"

I hope this works out as I hope, nothing has changed at CEAC from " accepted" to " At NVC" or anything else yet. So we will see.

I also just received a police report from Canada and when I applied I was super confident about the form

and selections I made. But then when I received the police report I was a little concerned. It seemed a little unofficial looking.

I am more comfortable now with the Canadian Police Certificate. From a lot of reading and questions it should be no problem especially since it was accepted by NVC from others that also have provided a Canadian Police Certificate. We will find out. Good luck to you in your process and hope everything moves quickly for you.

Hello,

I am new here. Just wondering if someone has the same situation as I am. I am petitioning my mother from the Philippines to come over to the states. We're in the process of submitting documents. For the civil documents, NVC required for us to provide a police certification from Hong Kong. See, my mom had lived in Hong Kong late 80s up to late 90s and we have no idea how we're going to get police cert since we don't have any contact there anymore. I do understand why NVC would want a police cert from 20 years ago but I also don't understand it. OH and also, they require marriage certificate when my mother was never married to my dad and we've multiple times indicated that she's single, so I'm not sure how we're going to fulfill that requirement.

Any advice would be appreciated.
