There is a new change to the criminal check for Canadians as of September 10th.  I called the NVC to double check and she told me that the NVC doesn't need anything but she would hate that if I went to the interview and asked for it. She told me to email Montreal, but it takes up to 10 business days for them to reply and I didn't want to wait around. Better safe than sorry.

Here is the link with the new change:

NVC just approved my police certificate today. But I may have to get another one with fingerprints before my interview? This is crazy. Does anyone have any more info on this? Any Canadians with interview dates after September 10th that can confirm whether that is needed?

I emailed them. I don't have a case complete yet so I have time to wait before applying for the fingerprint certificate if I do end up needing it. So we will see if I hear back from them.
