I am Petitioner, US Citizen (passport), I am in US, she is in Pakistan

If you've already filled out the ds260 and uploaded docs you can call once a week to check for Case Complete.   Once complete they will send you the interview information via email but I would recommend continuing the calls so you can get a faster answer.

Bring all originals of the documents sent to NVC and your relationship evidence with you to the interview.   They may ask why there is only one picture of the wedding but what is most important that you show you both have photos that the two of you have had spent time together.  Passport stamps are also helpful to show proof of visits.

😊 Hi, new here, this site is SUPER HELFPUL, I have three question,

Regarding Islamabad US Embassy :

1. So I am still waiting for my wife to receive an interview date from Islamabad US Embassy, do they ask you to fill out any forms, or just handing in the required documents. If so, what forms do they make you fill out?

2 .When NVC sends the case to Islamabad embassy, do you get an email or you have to check CEAC?

3. We only have 1 photo from the day after our wedding, however we have many photos of us(couple photos/holding each other etc.) pics, would they accept those?

Anyone who can answer these, gets a cookie :)

1. what is your CC (case complete) date? Did you receive any recent email regarding case completion? once you will paste CC date here then we can predict how soon you can get interview date after comparing with other members who are recently getting interview dates. Fill out form DS-260 without filling that form your case can't be qualified for scheduling for the interview.

2. you will get an email and status on ceac will be changed to in-transit and then Ready.                                                                                                                                                       3. Yes agreed with @Ahmed&Freda

I submitted all docs/ds-260 about a month ago to NVC and last week (08/27) I received an email them, "Notice regarding your Immigrant Visa Case becoming Documentarily Qualified", then in the email it says "NVC will work with Islamabad Embassy/Consulate to schedule an interview. Once we have a confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner", this is Case Complete right?

I am curious to know when they will send it to the embassy and will I know via email or via CEAC once they send it to Islamabad?

Thank you both for your replies, this really makes the process more clearer!

Thank you both for your replies, this really makes the process more clearer!

Yes, you are right. Get ready you will get interview letter in next 8-10 days IA.

They will send an email that will have a date of interview and instructions. Meanwhile, when you will check your case number on CEAC it will show you the status in-transit. Once your file will be reached at Islamabad the status will be changed to Ready.  You will have at least 25 -30 days for preparations (for medical and gathering all documents.) Hope this helps.

Don't know why got stuck on Ready. Also the date last updated is yesterdays date. I think they are extra satisfied OR don't want to touch my case lol.

It should change today.

@Ahmed&Fredawhat is the update regarding your 2nd interview?

We got an email from the embassy congratulating us on our approved 601 (for adoption) and the next steps before interview.

Unfortunately for us it was the wrong email as we have an approved I130 and are not adopting and orphan.   I did send an inquiry to the Embassy regarding their mistake and will hopefully hear something soon but am frustrated and hoping this doesn't cause any more delays.
