Attention all applicants with interviews in Montreal:

My lawer called me today to inform me that my current RCMP background check will no longer be valid as of September 10th!

The Montreal Embassy has changed the requirements for police checks

This is freaking unreal, as my interview is September 14th.

Be advised.

What! Argh, that is frustrating. I think you might be able to still go in for an interview with the one you had and let them know you got a new check completed. THey might just hold onto your passport until the check is confirmed. Did your lawyer advise you on what to do?

Just what you said. Don't reschedule, just attend, and forward the certificate when it arrives..... But anyone else should be prepared to obtain a new certificate based on the criteria.

@Ajt3 Hey, how much time did it take for you to get a CC once the documents were submitted to NVC? Did you call them to ask the status or did you receive a notification of the case being completed

Hey actually within 10days I got my CC after submitting all documents. My husband called to confirm after seeing "At NVC" in the Ceac site..I didn't get any email..I directly got an interview letter

Has anyone seen/heard of approvals coming out of Morocco? All I’m seeing lately are denials 😢
