In a real situation, I strongly recommend patience and remaining calm.

Trust me I would have been patient up until I would have been kept waiting in the dang airplane and she wasn't sitting down or getting off the plane. I have certifiable PTSD and so that would have tested the end of my patience for sure.

Yes, interfering with the law is SUCH a good thing to inspire in our youth.  Leads to them having a roof over their heads and free meals for long stretches of time, eh?

inspiration for everyone, not just youth.

Quote

Civil disobedience is the active, public, conscientious breach of the
law to bring about a change in law or public policy. Henry David
Thoreau coined the term in 1848 in his essay about his refusal as an
abolitionist to pay the poll tax. Thoreau argued that citizens ought
deliberately to break laws that conflict with their moral beliefs.
Gandhi used nonviolent civil disobedience to protest racial pass laws
in South Africa and in India’s independence struggle, including
the famous Salt March against the British monopoly on salt. Dr. King
and others made civil disobedience a cornerstone of the Civil Rights
Movement, defying Jim Crow laws through sit-ins, violating laws and
court orders prohibiting marches and boycotts, and accepting jail
sentences to highlight racial injustice. In his Letter from Birmingham
Jail, King explains the moral arguments for civil disobedience and
distinguishes between just and unjust laws.

Have you ever been in a holding cell? That's would also test your patience.

I was arrested for 2 days due to a fake DV call from my x-wife. So yes I have been and that charge was dismissed.

So would it be a worthwhile trade for slapping someone's phone?

I'd rather waste an hour of my life than 2 days. I am older than you, so perhaps I just value time more that way now. I was more reactive that way when I was younger I guess.

But I thought destroying someones property you disagreed with was a good thing, karma and what not

Its really hard to figure out what you in the MDL stand on things. It keeps changing

This is Kings quote on unjust laws:

Luther King jr. writes about something he calls 'just' and 'unjust' laws. ... In his words: “A just law is a man made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. Anunjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law.“

are we to assume god in the abstract or King's Judeo-Christian God, perhaps Allah, Budda or whatever god you happen to choose, are you then suggesting in the Muslim world vs the Christian world laws that are just are subject to a distinction of which god is included in the decision process, chaos is the result.

If the victim having their property destroyed leans right, then it must be ok, since those who support this violent activity all seem to be on the left here.  Just a guess though.  Then again, I have heard karma cannot work in this lifetime, only the next.  Who knows?  The goalposts, they move constantly...

Don't think I said that. You know karma doesn't work that way. Karma doesn't do anything for me based on what I agree or disagree with, and it doesn't affect someone else just because I don't like them.

Remember negative thought's get you negative karma too. Just sayin.

No, but I wouldn't go to jail because someone was wasting my time. It really doesn't make sense. Someone wastes a little bit of my time and I will teach them a lesson by wasting a lot more of my time and buying them a new phone?

Its kind of like Stalin. He was all about the worker and taking care of the masses, but will kill you if you disagreed with him. Kind of like what the left has become in this country.

I have even been told before it's ok to punch someone in the face if you perceive they make a racist comment.
