oh. well then you would have received your own assault charge.

Would she have stood up for his deportation if he was so charged, doubt it, not after it affected her personal safe space, to her his danger is not personal so doesn't exist. That's the beauty of taking a criminal stand in defending criminal behavior

Come to find out she is a MDL socialist that is part of a group that knew he would be on the plane and planned it.

You stated the girl was practicing civil disobedience by refusing to sit, someone said they would slap the phone from their hand, you said they would be charged with assault, since he is a foreigner I posited he might be deported if that occurred, I was curious if your heroine would have been inclined to stand up to prevent the deportation of the man who assaulted her,  that is the only hypothetical here, introduced by you and expanded on by me

not that it matters, but i didn't introduce the hypothetical.

and he said he would crush her phone, a bit more than slapping it out of her hand. but that aside, i don't think she would call for him to be deported over crushing her phone. she doesn't seem the materialistic, vindictive type.

He said he would crush the phone. That would be criminal mischief charge at least. Any contact or threatening behavior, even if incidental, could also merit an assault charge.

Also, as my neighbor found out the hard way, criminal charges on an aircraft are subject to federal jurisdiction. Whatever dumb things people may do, it's going to end up worse if they do it on an aircraft or in an airport.

Ok, then I would just slap the phone instead of crushing it.

well she wasn't removed from the plane. and there were people on the plane that stood up with her. she did a good job in standing up for what she feels is right, i hope she continues to inspire others to do the same.

Yes, interfering with the law is SUCH a good thing to inspire in our youth.  Leads to them having a roof over their heads and free meals for long stretches of time, eh?
