How long do you have to schedule the interview?

We submitted our application 2 weeks ago. My fiancee plans to come to visit me in September and stay for about 3 months. We're worried that if we get a notice that we're approved and she needs to schedule an interview while she's still with me she won't have enough time. Is there a time limit on when you have to schedule the interview?

Are you applying for K1 visa? Do you already have NOA1?

 

If so, then you can relax, approval (NOA2) won't happen for the next 5-7 months.

 

And even after that, there are another 2-8 weeks at NVC to get your case number and transferred to the embassy.

 

And then, depending on the embassy, 2 more months to actual interview date.
