Love2020

Let me give you some personal experience and my intake on this whole thing.

First of all this is my 3rd marriage (YES, it is sadly).  I met all my husbands on a blog site that I maintain and have many follwers and have had several guys who I thought could be the one.  All of them very handsome and of course always struggling with their conditions in their country.  Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Pakistan, et al.  There are many young men out there and they always chase older women thinking we got our acts together and we have money.  Now not to brag, but I am going too, Im not a bad looking gal.  I have a great job, a home I bought and yes I have a car too, some money in the bank, etc.  Men see this and automaticaly think Cha ching $$$.  When I first started the chat thing I fell in love with a man from Turkey, sent him money, everything, only to find out he was already married.  Since then I take everything with a grain of salt.

As an older woman, we find it hard to find someone half way decent here and when we get on the net the possibilities are endless.  Men will romance you well on the net.  They will make you believe that you are a goddess and that a woman like you deserves to be happy and they believe they could do just that.  They say the sweetest things that just make our hearts melt.  How can someone have so much love for us.  Yes I have heard men say some of the sweetest things but heres the kicker, the same lines are being said by multiple men..  Its like they trade lines amoungst themselves and are quick to say I Love You.

Now people are saying dont believe what they say, its a scam, but we found love, we found someone that makes us feel so good.  Love is all we know and finally somebody gets us and knows that their words seduce us so well and so good.  OMG Im in love and Ive never met this man before.  I really want to go and visit him but my money is funny and just give me a little time and I will have the money.  The guy waits but soon he finds another woman and now hes playing you and her.  His words flow easily between the two and at the same time hes looking out for a weakness.  Oh now comes his time to mention that he needs to pay his rent but he doesnt have money and they are going to kick him out of his home.  Or how about this one, my internet bill is past due and if you dont see my online you know they cut off my net, but I will try and find some money to pay it cause I cant be without my love, but I dont know how or when I can get it back on.  Stupid us feel bad and offer to send some money just so we can continue to be seduced by their words.  Soon you find yourself sending more and more money with promises of marriage and a lifetime of love.  The man will say oh wow you do love me, I never had a women love me the way you do. Oh wow, marry me and I promise that we will build our live together and I will take care of you, blah, blah, blah

Then one day you find out that your man has been talking to other women and now you are pissed ! Here we have been so faithful and honest with what we feel and now we sit with our hearts torn into a million pieces.

Screw love, but lonliness takes over us and now we are back to step one.  When does it ever end.  There are some decent men out there and it took me 3 times to finally find mine ! Not everyone is out to scam you.

My first husband was a lawyer in Jordan who came to the US on a visa and we met up (he already had his visa way before I met him).  The first week he was here he asked me to marry him and I said yes.  We were married 4 years but we had our issues (BTW he was 18 years younger than me).

My second husband was a tech guy from Algeria (20 years younger than me) and for years he chased me around telling me he was going to be my husband.  He never gave up and finally one day he sent me money to get my ticket to fly overseas.  He worked hard to get that money too.  Unfortunately when he arrived here I saw changes and I ended it.

My fiance is currently from Morocco and he is 20 years younger than me.  He comes from a very poor area, but he was working as a mechanic but before Ramadan I told him its best not to return since we were getting closer to getting approved.  I met him online when he was much younger and never showed any interest in him.  2 years ago I cam across his profile (not knowing we had spoken before in the past) and I became very flirty with him.  Somehow we ended up chasing one another and I went to visit him and it changed my entire life. I saw everything clearly and openly. He introduced me to his family the first time I was there and they accepted me immediately.  The hospitality was more than I expected.  His friends were truly amazing and everywhere I went they greeted me as if I was royality.  If I liked something it was given to me. Now whenever they see him they ask"Where's your wife".  I know that Morocco is a high fraud country and I know that my fiance is not a rich man, and I know that every dime he gets he gives to his mother.  His honesty is truly seen and for the first time in my life I feel totally comfortable and trusting.  I know that our relationship will be scrutizied and Im ok with that.  Im ok with what ever comes my way with immigration. We have nothing to hide.  Hes been the only one that I can honestly say I trust 100%

There are good ones out there just like there are bad ones.  Dont jump on the first seducing line they have, look around, be protective of your heart and your money.  Dont be afraid to say no cause if they do care they will stick around and love you for you.  I wish you all the best !

It's just good really the OP is doing this now. Regardless whether she pursues this relationship further is up to her; but she now knows about the possibility of being hurt in the end and has the access to information she could use to figure it all out.

This.  So many, many folks haven't found VJ and read these stories until they were much further along, emotionally and financially, in the GC scam relationship.

Thank you all for responding.

I need advice and want to hear it out loud.

First of all, I am not that stupid to rush into marriage. I am just wondering cause this guy talk to me for a year and its almost on the hour or every hour or every minute for a whole year.

It just strange how people who are going to scam people would waste their own time of faking it and spending all that time talking.

I guess life is just funny at times on what comes our way.

When you have nothing then scamming can be a full time job.  He may call you every hour on the hour and try his luck with someone else every half past the hour.  For a year or more as long as it takes because he has nothing to lose and all the time in the world. Please be careful I beg you

Life is full of it happens, we just take the good and the bad and learn from them.  Life has no guarentees, nor does love and trust.  I, personally have had my share of mistakes and still have more to encounter.

The guy is 18 years younger than me. He was the one that contact me and kept contacting me. We have not met in person. I do question him a lot on what he pick me or why he want to pursue a relationship with me even the age different. I even told him I can't just marry anyone for a green card. I am not going to waste my time I told him. He keep showing me on face time how poor he is and is not happy in his country. He don't practice his religion. I am catholic. The amazing part he dress just like a New Yorker with his style just like the guys here in New York City.

Would age difference be a problem?

Would I be making a mistake of marrying him?

I don't care what religion or color you are .. if I like the person I like the person.

Huge GIGANTIC RED FLAG ALERT!!!!

Respectfully, you should move on. Yes you may be able to fall in love with someone without meeting them but you’d have to meet whether you marry in Morocco or meeting prior to k1. Financially you have to prove he will not be a financial burden on US. Like many others have said there are many many red flags.

Can you engage in volunteer opportunities in your area? That’s one way to meet people who have similar interests. I know it’s tough out there but trust me this would be a tougher process and no one wants to get used. Good luck.

I dont mean to sound rude but why would you even ask these questions?

There's people that play with other people's feelings, in order to gain anything, and in this case is seeking immigration to the US.

I am from Italy, and you have no idea how many men from Morocco marry Italian women to get residency just to have a better life. As soon as they fix their status, they get a divorce, and they bring their real wives from their country.

He found someone desperate, you think you love him, but you just love the idea of having a man in your life. Do not do this, it is obviously a scam, and it makes us all look bad when there's many of us that genuinely got married to the love of our life but yet we get to be seen bad because there's people like that guy you're chatting to from Morocco.

Good luck and love comes when you least expect it (cheesy thing to say but very true) ;)
