Filipina in Thailand

Hi everyone! My fiance will be going through the K1 process in Thailand. She is a Filipina who has lived and worked there for a year and a half. I have some questions:

1. Does she get the single status document from Thailand? She has the document from the Philippines. Would the Thai government have that info for her?

2. Does she need the P3 in order to get the police clearance, or can she get that now with a NOA2 approval?

3. She lives in Phuket. Is it a good idea to schedule the medical exam two days before the embassy interview? Or would it be better to make two trips?

The added complexity of her being from the Philippines has me a bit worried. Any input is much appreciated!

Not sure on question 1, so I will defer

Question 2, you can actually get your police clearance with your NOA1 letter or if you have NOA2 you can use that also, you don't have to wait for your NOA2, but it has to be applied for in Bangkok.

Question 3, 2 days is no way long enough for the Medical to get done. Takes a Minimum of about 3 days. If you can get the medical done on a Monday, you should be able to pick it up by Wednesday ( Slim Chance) more than likely Thursday you can return to get your envelope.

My Thai fiancee is currently in Phuket also, I am hoping we can get her interview scheduled in the next week or 2, then my plan is to have her fly to Bangkok about a week in a half before interview to complete her vaccinations( If your smart you get these done at the Red Cross to save money, as they are more expensive at medical exam) and get the medical done a week or so before interview, then go to interview, then return to Phuket to wait for Visa to arrive in the mail.

@Loren Y Thank you for the reply!

The police clearance can only be obtained from Bangkok? I was hoping she could go to the local station and do it.

I didn't realize it would take that long for medical. We just discussing the vaccinations and I didn't know a Red Cross existed there. I'll tell her about it.

That's a long time in Bangkok. My fiancee is a teacher, so I don't think she can be there that long, which is why I think we'll break it up into two trips. Do you think she can do the medical exam and pick up the results the week of the interview? I'm curious how that all works. I have two buddies who went through this process 2 years ago in the Philippines. Their Fiance's spent a few days in Manila for medical and interview, but it seems the Phils goes through a lot of interviews.

It looks like your case moved rather quickly from the NVC to embassy. I hope ours goes that fast as well.

Here's what you need for the police clearance certificate. Looks like you can do it via mail. Get started on that right away.

I believe you can only do it in person at the one location in Bangkok, not at a police station.

Here is the link for where to get vaccination done on the cheap. You can wait until the medical exam, but they charge much more for them there.

I see your from Ohio, spent my first 30 years of my life there. Lived in Cleveland or a suburb of Cleveland most of the time. Don't miss Ohio that much for sure. No more snow and ice for me. But your towards the south I think, so maybe not as bad as up North we get the lake effect snow.

Thank you for the Links! I'll review this with her this weekend.

Yeah, Ohio... I've lived in this state about 25 years total with long stretches elsewhere.  We don't get the lake effect down here, but I don't care for the snow except how nice it looks the first time of the season, although I can forgo that altogether. I lived in Sourthern Cali and much prefer that weather. People here talk about missing the seasons if they moved. I always disagree stating I used to think that until I lived in year round warm climates. I don't give a hoot for the seasons.
