USEM Interviews - Current wait time for K-1 interview?

Does anybody out there know what the USEM appointment calendar is currently looking like? I.e. about how long from when a K-1 case file is received from NVC until the actual interview? I know how the process works, just haven't done it in 8 years. Everything seems to be taking longer now..

The soonest appointment is August 8th as of this minute I"m posting, but this changes throughout the day as slots get filled and/or open up due to cancellations/rescheduling.

Typically an appointment is available within about a month from the latest I've seen.

Not only is it taking longer but a lot of things have changed in 8 years. So my suggestion is to become a student again and you will get through this with no problems. Just a suggestion. Dates are normally running 3-4 weeks out. If you follow the calendar and want an earlier date then wait for a cancellation and grab it.

 

Once you receive your case number it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get down. To smooth that trail for your I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

 

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps he includes the what, when and why to completing the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

Next you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread are processing through another country they would be hard pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

Taking longer at USCIS and NVC, but you can still zip through the process at USEM in about 4-5 weeks once you have your MNL #.

 

Appt opening dates at USEM change more often than a babies diapers ...
