Today, I had my combo I-751/N-400 interview...The officer first interviewed me and my wife for I-751 and was approved on the spot. But, as for the N-400...she said she was going to approve me but I recently moved to another state 4 months ago, so she said she couldn't approve me today then. She had to send all my application to the another USCIS office where I currently reside, but she wrote a long note on the application that everything was fine. :( I also passed the writing/speaking/test portion though. Does anyone know anything about this? Like, how long will it take to receive an oath? Will I get a second interview at the new jurisdiction? Will it delay my case? So frustrating.

Did you file a change of address when you moved?

Thanks for your reply! But no, because my wife still lives here for school. And I heard that changing the address will delay the case, but the officer ended up changing my address to the new one after the interview.

Ok, but you're the applicant correct?  That's all that matters for N-400 purposes and it sounds like the IO determined that you were no longer resident in her jurisdiction so she didn't have the authority to approve the case.  The good news is that you've already satisfied the 3 month qualification period to establish residence with the new field office so are eligible to be interviewed/approved there, the bad news is that address changes aren't optional (this stops people jurisdiction shopping) so that may impact how quickly your new field office responds.  Your best bet is to probably make an Infopass appointment at your new office and ask them how they treat such cases - I'd be surprised if they don't want to interview as they typically want to verify addresses with jurisdiction changes, but you may get lucky and be approved without a further interview.

I did my interview yesterday for N-400 with the exact same situation. I had lived in my new district for almost 7 months. I was approved on the spot. So it shouldn't be an issue.

I was living in the previous state for work, and been there for a little less than a year. But I had to move to my new state about 6 weeks after my original application process. You can pretty do your fingerprints anywhere, but my interview was scheduled to my old state. So I went there yesterday specifically for the interview. The interviewer said that that it was fine, but I could only do the oath ceremony in my new state, and that she'd need to transfer my file. I received the notification within less than 24 hours that my file had been approved, and that I was in line for interview. She seemed to be an experienced IO, so yours might have been someone unfamiliar with cases like this and wanted second input before giving you a final go-ahead.

Thanks for your respond! Lucky you... She kept saying she couldn't approve mine on the spot because she didn't have an authority to do it... *sighs* I just don't want the case to be delayed for several months. I guess I will just wait until next week before I contact them

received the dreaded NOID cause I didn't submit the most recent proofs. I brought them with me, I offered to show the officer but she said show it to the officer at the new office when asked.

hm.. but are they at least giving you the opportunity to submit the proofs? What type of proof are they inquiring about? Proof of current residence, or proof of residence in the previous jurisdiction for at least 3 months? I don't know whether in my case the closeness of the two USCIS offices had anything to do with it (since the two states have many agreements in other aspects e.g. reciprocity taxes) , but it shouldn't have dragged on this long. Have you set an infopass?

Messaged you! More complicated than this. I have a proof of residency. So, no worry about that part. Haven;t been able to set up an infopass. It says nothing for the next 2 weeks. I will just walk in when I'm ready to submit my NOID. Some times next week.
