Deb and myself are may 18 fillers her Virginia myself Ontario Canada I drive down every three weeks so we are lucky but we still want to get our lives stared again but we cannot forget the ones who started the process long before us. Ya your on day 200 think for one minute about the day 270 or 330 people. Bottom line life isn't fair

Yup. A lot of people have been waiting WAY past their stated timelines, and I truly feel for those folks still in limbo who filed last fall and still have no NOA2 with no reason...

What’s the reason for that anyway? I thought it’s just 5-7 mos. I can only imagine the long wait ☹️ Unbearable

hasnt been 5-7 in a long time.  7-9 is more accurate right now and some people are waiting a lot longer than that.

who knows why .... no amount of whining will solve it though. all anyone can do is try to be patient. paul (tinman up there) and I are one of the lucky ones, we see each other all the time. we were together last week, and hell be down here this weekend (for a jimmy buffett concert WHOOOO!)

Agree on that, I personally can relate. October filer here. My interview just got scheduled for mid September. He won't have his Visa in hand then until end of September.. in total 1 month shy of 1 year for POE with your fiance. Yes, some countries may vary a month or so but I would say it is pretty standard at this moment to not get NOA2 for 6-7 months after NOA1

I am so so sorry its taken yall so long :(

I guarantee by the end of november(our anticipated NOA2 date), I'll be obsessive and get discouraged when I see later filers getting approvals before ours is even touched, but i really hope I don't forget that others have waited SO much longer, for NO reason, and that we are one of the lucky few, who get to see each other at least once a month .....

May I ask if you had any rfe on your file or maybe you had a slow agent on your case?

It kinda looks, that in some countries Embassies are super overworked and it is hard to schedule somewhat fast interview. IMHO, your timeline is pretty decent ...till the Embassy stage.

But anyhow, good luck with wrapping up the process and safe POE!

I did have a RFE which I would think contributed to possibly a month delay if I had to guess

Just my "2 cents" but waiting for your K1 (however long) and having the opportunity to see your fiance every 3-4 weeks is not the same as waiting when he/she is across the "big pond".  Possible only seeing him/her once a year.

I understand what you mean as people seem to vent a lot more lately but can also understand the frustration.

Right, but just as you made your choice, we made ours and chose to pursue a relationship where frequent visits was a possibility and something we were both willing to do. If it hadn't been, we would be nothing more than casual facebook friends. That is why we met in person within about a month of meeting online, to see if it would be worth it. Our desire to be together every day is no different than anyone else's, and perhaps even stronger as in we DO see each other frequently and so much of our lives are intertwined.  All of our lives, in fact.

The whole point of this is NOT to complain, as we ALL have to go through this stupid process, no matter how legitimate the relationship is, and crying because someone who filed 2 weeks later than you got an NOA2 before you did, is a bit much. As we've both said, there are people who have been waiting since FALL to get an NOA2, for no perceivable reason at all.
