hi! questions in bold - hoping to schedule medical/interview this week. just want to double check i'm not missing anything:

March 29th – i-130 sent off

April 3rd – notice of receipt email received

June 5th – notice of approval in post

June 11th – LND number received

July 17th – submitted DS-260

Next – have been gathering documents, just need to schedule medical/interview next:

For interview:

·         UK Passport/DL

·         2 color photographs (US standard sizes 2”x2”)

·         Appointment letter and courier confirmation page (have not yet booked/received)

·         Birth certificate

·         Police certificate

·         Form i-864 completed and signed (parents in the US will co-sponsor as myself the US petitioner, and my husband UK beneficiary are both working/residing in the UK) NOTE: Do my parents need to fill out individual forms? does one of them do i-864, the other do i-864a?

·         Do we need to bring financial/co-habitation evidence – bank statements showing joint finances, pay slips from work, lease information showing co-habitation

·         Fees – what methods of payment do they accept for the interview?

For medical:

·         UK regulated size passport photos

·         Vaccination records (will get full med records from gp also)

·         Medical questionnaire completed and signed

·         Fees – what methods of payment do they accept for the medical?

For the interview you'll need a marriage certificate.

For that, the birth certificate, and the police certificate, you'll also need photocopied because although they want to see the originals, they only keep the photocopy.

Right so bring all originals and a complete photocopied set for them to keep. Do I need financial/lease documentation?

  • 2 weeks later...

March 29th – i-130 sent off

April 3rd – notice of receipt email received

June 5th – notice of approval in post

June 11th – LND number received

July 17th – submitted DS-260

Sept 14th - medical exam - documents gathered (paperwork says 4 any size passport photos - we have 3 remaining of US size from i-130 petition application, best to save those for interview and get cheaper ones for medical?

***should we schedule interview now, before medical? or wait until after it?***

For interview:

·         UK Passport/DL

·         2 color photographs (US standard sizes 2”x2”)

·         Appointment letter and courier confirmation page (have not yet booked/received)

·         Birth certificate

·         Police certificate

·         Form i-864 completed and signed  – bank statements showing joint finances, pay slips from work, lease information showing co-habitation

·         Fees

For medical:

·         UK regulated size passport photos

·         Vaccination (FYI the paperwork received once medical booked says to get patient/care summary, our GP didn't know what this was. i advised the team who books the appointments and they said the complete medical history is ok to bring as long as it's 'not 100 pages or anything')

·         Medical questionnaire completed and signed

·         Fees
