Ahhh Kendall. No I am Miami, there’s the disconnect

Sorry mate, Miami FO is the worst FO in Florida. Check this -> https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/immigration/article208692884.html

But you're not alone, we're in the same boat   :)

Still waiting! Now it's been 5 months since AOS interview. Had an InfoPass appointment a couple weeks ago and found out that instead of giving our file to the supervisor for review, our file was put back in the file room 😑. Officer we spoke with said she hand delivered the file to the supervisor's desk, so now we wait again. I'll try to get another InfoPass if we don't hear anything by Mid March.

Hi any interview for Miami scheduled recently?Oct 2017 waiting :(

August 2018 filer here. Status still at “Fingerprint Fee Was Received”. Been like that for 200+ days.

Your timeline isn’t exactly reassuring. October 2017? 😱

I have friends in other states who completed the adjustment of status in about 3 months.

Everything is so significantly slower down here in Miami 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah Oct 16th 2017, and there aren’t many filers sharing online for Miami so really I have no clue what they are current scheduling.

The processing times decreased online last week a couple of months, hopefully I get the interview notice the next month or two as the date for RD for an inquiry is around 4 months away from mine.

BTW I could't schedule an Infopass, the website says the offices is not accepting info pass, neither walk-in. I called USCIS and they told me the Miami office is only accepting schedule Infopass by phone and for emergency cases only...

Yeah I saw that too... haven’t called but I figured it wouldn’t help much, no workarounds until we get to the case inquiry date.

Our field office was originally Oakland Park when we lived in Hallandale, FL.  We recently purchased a home in Boca and were afraid to change the address from PO Box in Hallandale to Boca Raton because someone I know who worked in USCIS said it would delay our process.  I decided to change it since we were closing PO Box in Hallandale this June.  I did a change of address in April of 2019.  I received an interview noticed that same month for the West Palm Beach Field Office.  We had our interview today and were approved.  All this to say that if you are afraid to change your address for fear of prolonging the process, it might actually help.  Now if your new field office is gonna be Oakland Park, or Miami I wouldn't' change it.  Good luck to all.

Congrats. I’m still waiting for Miami. Oct 2017 filler!

Ciao. Did anyone here have to go through the process of renewing their EAD because of the wait?

My field office is Miami and given how brutal the processing times look, I’m afraid I should start thinking about that. I can’t risk losing my job for this.

How long do renewals usually take? How early should I apply?

I filed at the end of July 2018 and received my work permit at the beginning of January 2019.

Also, is the fee waived in this particular case?

Thank you

Don’t want to give you low hopes, but probably you’ll have too, my wife is Oct 2017 and we’re still waiting for the interview notice. The good thing is that you can apply 4 months in advance, and they give you a 180 day extension so if you do it on time you have a 10 month buffer for processing, you can’t travel after your current expires though. My wife’s expire end of September and we’re preparing everything to file for renewal the next week or two. Another good thing is that there’s not processing fee for this, if you file on your own is free, if you file with a lawyer they shouldn’t charge more than 500-600 for it, it’s a very simple app.

I'm Miami Office Sept. 2017 filler too, under Cuban Adjustment Act and this is my current situation:

- Greencard: still waiting for interview notice, last status change was March 2018

- Combo card Work permit & Advanced parole: expired Dec. 2018. I'm currently enjoying my last days of the 180 days extension.

- Work permit renew package sent on Sept. 1st 2018, last status "Case Was Updated To Show All Fingerprints Were Taken And Case Is In Process"

I called USCIS last week trying to get an Infopass but Miami Office is not currently accepting Infopass. The only thing I could do was open an inquiry ticket (the second for my work permit case).

I'm trying to figure it out with my employer how to deal with the possibility of losing my work permit for days, weeks, months, who knows :'( ... IT'S VERY FRUSTRATING!!!
