Thanks! Yeah it was approved on Sept 28th and got it last Friday. We did 3 SR, 1 infopass, talked to T2 agents a couple of times, congressman in June and senator in Sept and nothing seemed to help. I was surprised though that USCISnposition on the long wait always was apologizing, the T2 calls happened at month 9 and month 10 and they were really supportive.

End of the day don’t know if all the pushing helped or if Senator Rubio’s office (my last shot before approval) was the right one. My recommendation to you is to do everything in your power to get a response.

My wife had OPT thru January so it was 8 long months for her not working and 2+ years without traveling.

Thanks for the info. I have only been waiting for around 3 months and so far so good. I seriously hope I won't have to go through any ordeal and that everything will proceed smoothly.
Sorry to hear you had to face all that. I'm glad everything worked out though.

Technically you should be expecting the interview letter any day now, but given how clogged the Miami office is it's quite impossible to make estimates of any kind. I hope you won't have to cancel your trip in December. Usually the interviews are scheduled a month from the notice. You have a good chance of completing the process by the end of the year. Good luck!

Yes Miami was my field office.

So it seems there’s a delay of ~6 months to get interview scheduled. My RD is 10/16/17. But my PD is 8/11/16 (I’m a F2A case)

i prefer uscis giving me an interview date now that is 7 months from today that waiting 6 months to tell me is next month 🤣

I’m adjusting from K1, my NOA1 dates are in early August.

Does this mean that I shouldn’t be expecting any interview until the second half of next year?

Oh, and other question: I did my medical examination in early March, before the K1 interview. Will I have to find a Civil Surgeon to file a new I-693 for the Green Card interview? The instructions say that it has a validity of 1 year, I’m already 7 months in 😒

Civil Surgeons in Miami are so expensive 😖

If it's more than a year I think yes... I paid ~180 last year I believe? Someone around Midtown/Edgewater area, but my wife had vaccines records which saved us ~$700 in vaccines.

Thanks for your reply!

ugh.

I already had to pay a CS before sending the AoS packet because I only had one MMR shot and I needed a second one to have the form marked as complete. The total for getting the vaccine and have the doctor file ONLY part 9 of the form (which means just ticking the MMR box off on the vaccine list) was $250 😷 and no more than 2 months earlier I paid €220 for the full medical before the K1 interview.

I live in Edgewater/Midtown too, maybe the cost was so elevated because of the area? I’ll start looking for cheaper CS from now. Too bad the insurances don’t cover any costs for immigration purposes.

You don't say 😅 I contacted this one but they didn't have any availability and I needed to send the packet ASAP. Hopefully I will have enough margin when the interview will be scheduled to save some money

Thanks!

We did it for convenience as it was close to my house, but am sure if you go Hialeah or browsed it should be cheaper. Count $40-50 uber round trip if you than have a car on top of that :)

Exactly, I saw extra cheap ones in other areas, but the added $$$ from Uber/Lyft made it more inconvenient than the other higher fees.

We'll see! We gotta do what we gotta do. Thank you for your help ;)
