What am I doing while waiting? I'm in school and patiently waiting to renew the EAD since the waiting period has gotten so much longer. I think I'll renew in November/December which will be right around 6 months till the expiration date. Unfortunately I doubt we'll have an interview scheduled by our 1 year mark.

That's great, good for you! I am planning to start a master in the future. I graduated in economics in Italy and I am not sure what the job market will look like for me with only my foreign degree and master. We'll see!

Hi, from South Florida too. My local office is West Palm Beach. NOA1 date is May 30th, biometrics was June 18th and on July 17th my AOS status changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for interview". EAD and AP are still "Case was received". It seems as if we have to be veeeeeery patient 🙄 Keeping my fingers crossed for everybody here!!

I see you're from Jensen Beach! How nice! My husband and I stopped there for a night during a road trip to the Orlando area. We spent the morning at the beach and it was swarming with tiny little crabs and turtle nests.

Good luck with your process! Keeping fingers crossed for you too!

Oh, you have been to Jensen Beach? It´s beautiful here, I love it. Yes, it´s sea turtle nesting time right now and you can see them at night coming up the beach for nesting. It´s amazing!

I have had this same status since April. This status has stayed the same although I received my interview notice in the mail this month (didn't get updated to interview has been scheduled). They will tell you to wait since we're still within estimated processing time unfortunately.

Had our interview last Monday at Miami office. It lasted about 20 minutes. There was a bit of confusion initially because apparently there was a clerical error made that made it seem that we didn't get married within our 90days. It turns out they may have confused the K-1 visa approval date with my date of entry. IO essentially went through the entire application asking each question. Also asked how we met, what do we do. We both had to sign a form due to our marriage being "young" (i.e. we are married less than a year at time of interview). In terms of evidence all that was requested was evidence of cohabitation/co-mingling of finances. We submitted our joint 2017 tax transcript with supporting docs (W2, job letter, pay stubs), lease addendum adding me on as co-resident, insurance records showing I was added as spouse and beneficiary, utility bills (electric & cell phone), pictures including pictures from the beginning of our relationship to our honeymoon. He asked about the medical and I reminded him that we submitted the AOS within a year of our medical and vaccination record was sent with AOS app. He said that he is recommending our case for approval but there is a secondary "quality assurance" check that a supervisor has to do and come to the same conclusion for final approval. He said that should take 3-4 days. There has been no change to our status in any of the case trackers or myUSCIS yet so we're still waiting. However, myUSCIS status wasn't updated to "interview scheduled" till the actual day of the interview so I may just get the decision in the mail, lol.

I received the alert that my case is ready for interview yesterday (Yay!!)

In average how long it’s taking from there to get the interview? I’ve seen people getting notice 1-2 weeks after. My office is Miami and my case is F2A PD 8/11/16, RD 10/16/17 and I just got my EAD/AP last week! (Almost a year wait)

Worth adding I’m a little nervios because I booked a trip on December 16-27 so my wife can visit her family and wouldn’t want to cance it for the interview (even though I would have to lol)

Wait, you waited A YEAR for EAD/AP? 🤯
I'm in Miami and I submitted my AoS at the end of July. Was hoping to receive the combo card by Christmas.

Congrats on the progress of your case ☺️

Thanks! Yeah it was approved on Sept 28th and got it last Friday. We did 3 SR, 1 infopass, talked to T2 agents a couple of times, congressman in June and senator in Sept and nothing seemed to help. I was surprised though that USCISnposition on the long wait always was apologizing, the T2 calls happened at month 9 and month 10 and they were really supportive.

End of the day don’t know if all the pushing helped or if Senator Rubio’s office (my last shot before approval) was the right one. My recommendation to you is to do everything in your power to get a response.

My wife had OPT thru January so it was 8 long months for her not working and 2+ years without traveling.
