NOA 2 - 8/10

NVC Case Number 8/28

Still at NVC, but we scheduled interview for 9/25 thinking that NVC would send within 2 weeks.  Fees are paid, medical is scheduled, DS-160 filed.  What time is needed for Embassy to receive from NVC before the interview?

your case will probably be in transit with the next batch which will be on the 18th, and it will be ready by 20th or 21st. I would give a week allowance from case ready to the interview date. But I think you're fine. Our case was ready on the 6th and received an email from the embassy on the 12th. Our interview was supposed to be tomorrow, the 14th but the embassy rescheduled us due to the typhoon.

Are there any Canadians currently waiting to submit P3? I found a few forums for Montreal Consulate, but they don't seem to be active. Would love to connect! :D

Tracker updated to "Ready" on September 7 and attempted to submit P3 Monday. They emailed back stating they are still processing my case and to NOT submit P3 until I get the OK. So I'm thinking of resubmitting on Friday!

NOA2 - 08/22/2018

Just called NVC and received both numbers (NVC & invoice).

I'm just slightly confused because when I was checking visa status on CEAC website (https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==) I had to select 'Immigrant' visa and paste my NVC number in order to get status (at NVC).
When I pick 'non-immigrant visa' & my consulate  - it prompts me with error message that number is wrong.

Anyone had something similar happen in their case ?

K1 is a non-immigrant visa with immigration intent.  So on the website it is classified as an immigrant visa.

Hi everyone! First time posting on here. I just wanted to see if anyone’s case is still stuck at USCIS after being approved? My NOA 2 was August 22 and NVC said they haven’t received my case so I called USCIS and they said they still haven’t sent my case to NVC yet due to back log 🙄😑 . It’s been three weeks since my approval. I’m thibking about contacting my congressman to speed up the process. I really don’t understand how the case can just sit at USCIS for 3 weeks!! Is anyone else having the same issue??

MNL# received this morning when I called.  I will be traveling over for a month and a half work assignment at the end of the month, so it looks like I will be able to be there for the interview.  A long process coming near completion.

No one can do anything until it hits 6 weeks bc that’s what they define as “normal processing time”. Uscis sends cases in batches and unfortunately it’s not in order. My case took 23 days to get an nvc number. Yours is coming soon.

Read the bottom of your noa2. Mine  says they will transfer my case to nvc in 2-4 weeks. Call them back and read that letter to them and see what they say.

Hello everyone! I have my case number, but my case hasn't been sent to the embassy yet. Can I do the I160 and can my fiance go for his medical exam, or do we need to wait until the embassy has the case?
