@Greenbaum received case number via email and was able to change the consulate for interview(thank you for all the help with that) trying to do the next steps received the same error, are we not allowed to at least proceed to fill out the ds160 and all that and how do I obtain the INIDN?

When you called NVC they give you the case number and the invoice number. Call them back if you don't have it. The DS-160 is not problematic so it must be a glitch. Give it a few more hours or try changing your browser that you are using.

Fiance passed his medical, he was supposed to be doing his interview this Friday. Too bad the embassy had to cancel and reschedule the interview due to the super typhoon. ☹️

PS we’re an hour and half away from the embassy via plane. Tickets are expensive esp booking days before the flight.

We have seen times of 3-4 weeks as the norm in receiving the NOA2 hard copy. For the Philippines you don't need a hardcopy for the interview so give USCIS, NVC and the Embassy a breather and NOT call. Trust the process. The important thing that you need is that case number. Get it and you could have your visa in less then 30 days if you follow the information that I have given earlier to Filipino filers for USEM.

I really appreciate your help @Greenbaum. My fiancè wants to receive formal letter/instruction from USCIS first before going to the next step. But I called NVC earlier they havent receive the case. Hopefully this Friday or next week. 🙂

So I got my case number and it states at NVC.  It then says please follow instructions from NVC that lists 6 steps we must take.  We haven't received any mail from NVC yet...  Anyone know what comes next?  What are the steps?  Will they mail us instructions?

I just got our NVC number! YAY! I love seeing movement!

NOA1: Feb 19

NOA2: Aug 22

NVC Number Received: Sept 12 - I received this in response to filling out an inquiry on their website, so I'm not sure of my official date yet.

Now we continue to wait and see who wins the race:  Embassy receives our packet, fiancé receives his renewed passport from overseas or fingerprints for police certificate that are stuck in customs in South Africa. Gotta love waiting!

Thanks for your update. We are buckling down and we are far enough inland that we should be ok. Power is the only issue that makes this a uncomfortable wait if it goes out. I finished stocking up on supplies today and both cars are full with gas. So all we have to do is :clock:

Ignore what you see there. That is for a CR-1 immigrant visa and is handled differently then a K-1. NVC handles the scheduling for it but the K-1 is between you and your Embassy.

The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non-immigrant and immigrant visa type. That is why the links (what you received in the email) will send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 and DS-260 even though it truly is a non-immigrant visa requiring I-134 and the DS-160. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant (CEAC.gov). It stays that way until after your interview and the approval and your visa is ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non -immigrant. It truly is a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent.

This is what you do for your Embassy  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NIkIYepyA0bOTE3h8o-4f3ju4HkLy7Si/view?usp=sharing

Hello. What are the odds of choose as the K1 visa after USCIS approved the application. Pass the medical exams and the interview. What defects could make visa denial?

If you passed the medical exams and the interview then there isn't much that will prevent you from getting your visa.
