We sent an email to the NVC a few days after receiving our NOA2 (August 28th) asking that they update us as much as they can. We received a reply today that they have yet to receive our case from the USCIS. Surely our case has to be sent soon right?

My friend have almost the same situation as yours. The only difference is that they were approved July 31st, but until now she ain’t gotten any case number. NVC keeps telling her they haven’t received the case yet from USCIS. 😕😕😕🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Now i told her to ask some help from her Congressman...

@That Bingo Does your myuscis account say Aug 22 too?

My says Aug 22 on NOA2 hard copy but Aug 23 on website. NVC hasn’t received it yet for mine

The website was never updated for me so who knows haha! When did you call? I called later on in the day so maybe yours arrived later as well.

So I see that quite a few people have their status as Ready but mine still says in transit and it was shipped on Sep 4th 😞....our interview is going to be in Czech Republic, does anyone know if it usually takes longer over there to process?

Nope can't say for sure and I am not sure you're going to get an answer from someone who is processing through South Aferica or the UK as they are trying to get their arms wrapped around thier Embassy's requirements.

Sometimes it will be soon and sometimes it won't. Sorry, but no one can perdict when you will see your case number from NVC nor when USCIS will send your case over to NVC. That's the frustrating thing about this process. But you're within the norm as 10 business days is our yardstick of measuerment, and you haven't hit that milestone. Just a little more :clock:

Besides from calling, is there any way to check NVC status online? Our NOA2 was 22 Aug and was wondering where we are at currently.

Lol, same here.

Although myuscis account online says it was approved on Aug 23 - my NOA2 hard copy says the notice day as Aug 22. So, one of the two I guess 😃

Do you guys think if we receive our case number by the end of this week, our case will be sent to the embassy on the next NVC batch (Sep 18th)?

I hope so..!!

@LeesaMarie you will need your case number or applicant id from NVC in order to check status. From my understanding I was told yesterday 9/10/18 that they had received my case and are working on entering it into the system my NOA2 is August 23. Hope we both have case numbers soon! Don’t worry, I will keep everyone posted 🤪🤪🤪🤪

Yep you will need your case number as described, but this is the only way of checking your status online :)

Currently you are at NVC waiting on the issuance of your case number which for each applicant can be different. Some have it in 10 business days others have it in a longer period. We have seen some take a year but doubt yours will take that long. Have patience.

Do this so that you both get notified when your case number is available. It's pretty much dependable and keeps you off the phone.

After getting notified and receiving your NOA2 send an email to NVC asking for them to email both you and your fiancé if any updates occur. In the past they have replied when your case was received from USCIS, another when your case number has been assigned and when your case is being sent out to your Embassy without you having to make any further queries by phone. Here is where you send this information to:

Email address: NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

Subject: Your receipt #

Body: Petitioner's Complete Name Birthday ; Beneficiary's Complete Name Birthday

Or use the online form
