When you called them, you chose option 2 right ?  NVC recieved my case on August 23rd and still no case number!

I pressed the option that said "all other questions/inquiries" which was at the end of the list they repeat when you call... I forget the number now! But the person I got immediately helped me and knew what to do.

Hello,

My fiance and i got our petition approved Aug 22nd. And are currently waiting for our NVC number. Ive noticed alot of people have been getting them on our dates or after and im a bit worried. On USCIS website it says that our petition is still pending... Could that be a reason to slow down our process of getting our NVC #?

I recieved my NOA2 Aug 20...I just called NVC and they gave me a case number and an invoice ID. What is the invoice ID for?

I went to the website that everyone says can track your case and it'll either say , at NVC, In transit, or ready but it says neither of those.

Just checked the CEAC tracker and our case went from "In transit" to "Ready"! Has anyone submitted P3 (for those who require this) yet?

:D GETTING CLOSE TO THE FINISH LINE!

Ok I will do this. Thank you!

This is what I received when I ask NVC. Is this normal? Will they email me again once they have my case number after 6 weeks after NOA2? Or should I call instead after 10-15 working days? Im confused. Thanks!

I also checked CEAC tracker today and saw that our case has been updated from "in transit" to "ready". So far I have not heard anything from the consulate interviews are held at and I am pretty sure there is no way to sign up for an interview online. Should I just keep waiting to be contacted by the consulate for an interview date or should I try to contact the consulate to set up an interview?

Guys, just noticed one detail - they misspelled my name in NOA2, English transliteration is Iuliia but they wrote IuLLia, with double L instead double i.. Is that a problem?

Do not worry, it is coming. I was in the same boat as you. It took me 23 calendar days to receive my nvc number. Unfortunately it’s possible they don’t go in exact order. As long as you have your noa2 paper copy you are fine, they have been having problems with their website and the information being updated.

I personally would call and ask when the next available appointment is just incase it’s a month or so away. I managed to get an appointment within a couple weeks but at one point it was about 1 month wait. If the earliest appointment is too soon for you then just ask for a later appointment, you don’t have to go with the earliest one. Remember you need your police certificate, vaccination record, patient care summary, etc for the medical so make sure you have enough time to get those if you haven’t already 😊

For the medical I used the PDF that NVC sent when they dispatched our application to the embassy as proof of the case number. They accepted that with no problems so you don’t necessarily need to wait for a hardcopy of the letter from NVC before attending the interview. I’ve heard other people just using screenshots of the CEAC tracker as proof of case number as well.

Thank you! Yep I got all my docs recently in order. Ready to the point of overkill I reckon 😁

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Nope. It's only a problem if your DS-160, your Visa and or your passport are wrong. You can verify the name at your interview with the CO as that is your last place to change it easily.

There are many places for you to check for additional information to answer that question and future questions. Asking here to people who are trying to get their arms around their Embassy with most Embassy's have a different procedure, I would say asking in your country's sub-forum would be the best tool. Follow these links for more information.

Find others from your country:

There are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them. Also, there is another place you can go and follow others who are processing the same time you are and for the same Embassy. Go to the blue ribbon at the top of this page and select "portals". Scroll down the left-hand side of the page till you get to VJ "your country's name" Timelines. Just below it you'll see "K-1" so you select it and out pops a window with others from your country.

Most Embassy's I have the P3 letter but I don't have for yours. If you get a copy can you please provide me a copy so I can help others who come behind you. Send me a PM here on VJ. Thanks.

If your passport is correct then yes. If that too is wrong you need to get it corrected as everything is tied back to your Birth Certificate then passport then visa (all three are required to be the same). If the BC is wrong then you need to get that correct first, then your passport, then DS-160 and then everything else at the interview if in fact they are wrong. You didn't say which documents are wrong so I am pointing out all that need to be repaired if they are wrong. Maybe it's the NOA2 that is the only document that is wrong, and it happens frequently, but the NOA2 address is not "official" like a visa, passport or BC.
