I’m having the same problem! I’m London embassy too.

I emailed the email address in the error message but they just told me to make sure I’m on the immigrant version of the site, and that I select the option related to K visas (what I was already doing). I’ve just replied to say that’s what I’ve already tried and it still doesn’t work so I’ll see what they say. Maybe we just have to wait until the status is ‘ready’ but others in the last batch were able to book their interview while it was still ‘in-transit’ so it’s frustrating!

At least since it’s not working for either of us it might mean that they just haven’t added our case numbers to their system yet rather than there being a problem! Glad I’m not the only one!

Hmmm yeah, hopefully they will add our case numbers and we will be able to schedule soon! Probably just taking some extra processing time compared to the last batch.

Right, so, might be being stupid here... But how on earth do I schedule the interview? Our case has been sent to the embassy by NVC, it's marked as in-transit. But the interview scheduling website says "The Immigrant Visa case number provided is not ready to schedule an appointment"

In theory, you are supposed to wait until you receive your approved petition in the post from the consulate with a letter giving the same directions found on the website. Some of us have been fortunate enough to be able to schedule to the interview whilst "in transit" to London consulate, but this is definitely not guaranteed. We were lucky. I don't regret doing things ahead of time, but this is definitely what I did do. I operated outside of the process (you're not supposed to do this), and I'm glad that I tried given the waiting times. When I was able to book my interview, a lady that got her NOA2 the same time as me wasn't able to book hers, but she was able to a couple of days later.

I think it's also worth pointing out that a couple months ago there may have been fewer applications to go through, it seems this time of year is "peak" season for petitions, so this maybe causing delays.

I understand it's both frustrating and stressful, but try not to take this as a problem, or a sign that there is something wrong. Everything will be okay.

Thanks so much!

Also so regarding the I-134, my fiancé just posts that to me doesn’t she? I’ve read online that you don’t actually file that form.

Would a photocopy of this form suffice? I have read that SYD embassy only requires a photocopy but if she isn’t actually filing the form then it seems like the original would be better off?

There is big debate that has been on going on for many years whether the I-134 requires a "wet" signature. I have researched but so far have not been able to confirm or deny that requirement. So, to be safe present the I-134 with a wet signature BUT if the Embassy instructions do not require a "wet" signature then I would not go to the trouble or the expense of sending a copy with a "wet" signature. You do not file the form, you present it to the interviewing CO at your Embassy interview.

@Greenbaum I think you said something about this either earlier in this forum or in another, and I can’t find it. But does your NOA2 get sent straight to the NVC upon approval or are their “bulk batches” sent out at certain times of the month?

We’re a August 28 NOA2 so just trying to figure out when we might be a chance of getting our number

So far there isn't anything to suggest that USCIS is using a "batch system". They have been taking about 2 weeks to travel to NVC from UCIS and then another week to be logged in and a case number assigned from NVC.

@Greenbaumhello sir! I am new in this community and just want to ask something regarding the 2 year meeting requirement. My fiance visited me in PH last May 2016 and applied for k1 petition last January 2018. Our case was approved August 2018. Will it be an issue during the interview stage that it was over 2 years ago since we last saw each other in person? Thank you!

You must be able to produce evidence that you and your fiancé(e) have met each other in person at some time during the two-year period prior to the filing date of your petition. Since you applied on January 2018 and you met May 2016 that equates to one year and eight months, meeting the requirement. So no worry's. You'll be fine.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

@Greenbaum kindly assist.  Thanks

The key word is FILED. Not approved or completed. So has anyone ever FILED for you besides your current petitioner (in this case,  you = beneficiary). If so YES, if not NO. Most answer it NO as they have never had a case FILED for them prior to their current petitioner.
