I guess you didn't take the time to view the links. But I know you appreciated that someone made the effort to help even if there was info mixed in from another Embassy maybe by mistake. But thanks for pointing that out so I can repair it for the next couple who will appreciate the help.

I checked the link and I guess you didn't notice that answerd that questions few posts ago

It's always good to check US Embassy website :)

https://pl.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas-fiancee-visa/the-interview/

- why are we waiting on this packet? is there something essential there? we already have our case number from NVC.

With NVC number you can book medical but I would wait for that packer before booking an interview.

- how can you find out where to do the medical exam?

https://pl.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/23/IV-F11-ENG-Medical-examinations-information-May-2018.pdf

- what is absolutely necessary to bring to the interview?

I think you'll have the answer in embassy letter but I don't think it'll be something more than:

Passport
The passport should be valid for at least sixty days beyond the validity date of the visa. Please remove any plastic sleeves/coverings from the passport.

Important: Each applicant should bring his/her previous passport(s) with US visas, otherwise your visa may be refused until the consular officer can review them.

UID Number
Please print out and bring to the Embassy the confirmation page of your GSS registration and passport TNT pick-up location choice. The confirmation page must contain the barcode and your UID number.

Photograph
Each applicant must submit two photos which meets all the requirements listed here.

Fiancé(e) Visa Application Form
The online DS-160 fiancé(e) visa application should be completed in English using the website:
https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

Birth Certificate
For applicants born in Poland only complete versions of Polish birth certificates (Odpis zupełny aktu urodzenia) are accepted. Polish “short form” of birth certificate is not acceptable.

Evidence of the Termination of Prior Marriages (if applicable)
Any applicant who has been previously married must obtain evidence of the termination of each prior marriage such as final divorce decree, death certificate or annulment.

Police Certificate
Police certificates are required from every applicant aged 16 or over on the date of the interview. If the applicant has been convicted of any crime in any country, a copy of the court record of each conviction is required. For further information on how to obtain police certificate click here.

Military Records
All applicants with current or prior military service must provide military records. Military records must contain a complete record of the applicant’s service and conduct while in the service. The record must show any convictions of crime before military tribunals.

Medical Examinations

All applicants should submit the results of medical examination in the original unopened envelope. The examination will be conducted by a medical doctor designated by the Embassy. The applicant is responsible for all medical examination fees. The medical examination cannot be performed by the applicant’s own physician. For detailed information on the location of the medical centers and scheduling the medical appointment please click this link.

Financial Documents
The Affidavit of Support form I-864 is not required for K visas. However, petitioners must provide proof of adequate financial support once in the United States to ensure the applicant will not become public charges. Documentation regarding financial support can be in any form so long as it contains enough detail and information for the consular officer to conclude that the beneficiary will not become a public charge. Petitioners may submit the form I-134 if they wish.

Translations
Documents in Polish, except for court records, do not have to be translated. All documents that are not written in English or Polish must be translated into English by a certified translator.

This is what I have for your Embassy. The P3 letter is dated 2016 so things might have changed. Please contact your Embassy for an updated P3. If you could send me a copy I would appreciate it. This way I can help others who come behind you. Thanks

Thanks so much! I am the USC, so I'm wondering if I will have to send him my original documents-- something I'm not feeling too keen on.

Check the P3 letter and determine their requirements. The Embassy's are all over the place. Some do and others don't require originals for the petitioner. It would surprise me if that was the same for the beneficiary. Most Embassy's want originals from the beneficiary. It's easy for them to verify the petitioner's information as it's in there databases that they do background checks. But for beneficiary's that fake documents are easily had, so the Embassy requires originals from the bene.

While awaiting for NVC number, can I apply for the DS-160? I’ve got all my documents ready for the interview. So all that’s left for me to do is DS-160, schedule interview and book medical.

Is the DS-160 still not asking for a picture to be uploaded?  Is this country specific or for every country?  The reason I am asking is because my fiancee just finished her medical exam and her DS-160 has the picture on it, but someone else there did not.

Depends on the country , I just learned Brazil does not require an image to be uploaded, only need to bring one to embassy.  So it all depends on country

I understand that, but I think you misunderstood.  As they are both from the same country and one required it and the other did not...

They said its okay not to have a picture cos some computers or some people are having hard time to upload the picture. My Fiance had trouble uploading the pic and asked people if its okay not to have his 2x2 on the ds160, suprisingly a lot of them said its okay as long as you bring copies of the 2x2.

Hi all - received our NOA2 on 22nd August 2018. Any insights on how long it will take NVC to advise the case number? I’ve heard it can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Furthermore, once we have the case number can we proceed to book medical/Consulate interview or do we require a hard copy? Many thanks

Yes. At the moment, Most people seem to be getting case number in 10-15 business days.

and yes you ca setup your medical once you have case number but check specific embassy instructions to be sure.  Also can setup

intetvoew but make sure you allow ample time for case to be ready at xousulate or it will be cancelled

Just wanna be ahead of the pack. From what I read, I think we can complete the ds-160 and book the interview. But I’m worried about booking the interview, might hold off on that till it’s at the embassy.

That's what I've heard too. You're still at the NVC right, with no NVC number? Seems like it might make sense to do the DS160, but I just don't want to jump to far ahead that something messes up

Oh nice mate, we're the 28th of August - so still some time to go. For the DS160 did you need an electronic passport photo? Or any other specific information for that matter?
