Our NOA2 date is 10 Aug, and we got our NVC case number yesterday.  I called in the evening - around 7 pm Pacific time.  I recommend trying that tomorrow.  I had tried last week before NVC received our petition.  I knew yesterday we were in business, because for the first time Angus asked for both of our full names and dates of birth.   Good luck to you!   :-)

Thanks!  My  Fiance   will call  NVC  tomorrow.  Hopeful  to hear some  good  news😊

Hi, so we got our case number and when I check its status it says to follow 6 steps with NVC.  One of them is to sumbit documents to NVC- I'm guessing it's not required for K1 since we sumbit docs to embassies? (it shows up as an immgrant visa there). Need to make sure

OK I actually found out that it's for just "pure" immigrant visas, got confused for a second

Hi,

Is it possible that I didn't fill the Emil address for I-129f, I have not received NVC’s mail? Thank you!

The possibility is that NVC at times does not always send out emails. I highly recommend that you do the following to be more informed about your case with NVC.

After getting notified and receiving your NOA2 send an email to NVC asking for them to email both you and your fiancé if any updates occur. In the past they have replied when your case was received from USCIS, another when your case number has been assigned and when your case is being sent out to your Embassy without you having to make any further queries by phone. Here is where you send this information to:

Email address: NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

Subject: Your receipt #

Body: Petitioner's Complete Name Birthday ; Beneficiary's Complete Name Birthday

Or use the online form

Called NVC again this morning.  I was on hold for a few minutes.

The person there told me they think our case has been sitting there for a while because it's still there.  They received it about 2 weeks ago.  We had gotten our case number from them last week.  I asked the person on the phone about the batch hypothesis that people have been talking about here.  She said she didn't know anything about it but that they'd send the cases out soon (no timeframe).  About sending the package to Sydney, they're not sure if I will get notified or my fiancee will, and they're not sure if the notification will come via email or postal mail.  This person seemed like they hardly had a clue, compared to the people I'd spoken with there in the past.

Seems like they're a lot shorter and a lot less nice to people who already have an NVC case number.  Anyway, I guess I'll call again right after Labor Day unless I hear anything different.

June 2016: We started writing to each other

June-July 2017: Met in person in the US for our first anniversary

December 2017 - January 2018: Met again in the US and got engaged

01/09/2018: I-129F sent to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox via FedEx

01/16/2018: Received NOA1 (NOA1 notice date: 01/11/2018)

June-July 2018: Met in person in Singapore and Australia for our second anniversary

08/03/2018: Notice date on our NOA2 (updated in USCIS's new website on August 6)

08/15/2018: Our case reached NVC

08/22/2018: Received NVC case number

09/04/2018: Our package left NVC (arrived 9/11, and she sent packet 3 that day)

09/20/2018: Received packet 4; scheduled interview

10/30/2018: Interview - told that we're approved!  Now waiting to receive the visa...
11/27/2018: Port of Entry at BWI

12/1/2018: Our wedding!

12/8/2018: Filed AoS on the way to our honeymoon (12/8-15/2018)
6/~7/2019: EAD and AP approved
09/25/2019: AOS interview in Orlando -- approval and green card!

Next step, June 2019: Filing I-751

Note: My wife is a Singaporean.  She moved to Australia before we met and got permanent residency there.
