In the new revised I-134 form dated 2018 - Question #38 now regards contributions.  You leave the yes/no boxes "unchecked" and your explanation is submitted in Part 7 on page 8 of the new form.

You will do this:

3.a. "Page 4"

3.b. "Part Number 3"

3.c. "Item Number 38"

3.d. "N/A (K1 Visa Process For Permanent Residence)"

Im using the form that expires 11/30/2018... Can i still use it?? And i confused about that question myself

Hello, our NOA2 is August 1st and we already have our NVC case number and we already filed our DS160, but we couldn't schedule the an interview because the embassy told us they need a hard copy from NVC to schedule interview. Our case has been showing "At NVC" on the CEAC tracker for about 2 weeks now. My question is how long does it usually takes for the papers to from "At NVC" to "In Transit" and then "Delivered" ? Thanks.

Yes you can still use it. Nothing to be confused about, as I have given the answer. This is  a K-1 process so naturally the petitioner is going to make contributions (support the family). The form was designed to be all things to all visas and Q38 just doesn't fit for the K-1. I open that explains it.

Apparently the NVC sends out petitions to embassies and consulates in batches every two weeks.  Those that have been tracking this pattern say the next batch should be sent out on 4th September.

The "papers" in this case, the case file is under new procedures. Once you are approved with a case number your file doesn't leave except for 2 week intervals. The next shipment is 9/3-4 so it will be their soon. Have you gotten a hard copy through email or snail mail? That should be enough evidence for your Embassy, but one never knows what they will except.

There is some information here but it is about 2 years old but poke around and see if anything helps.

Couple of questions:

1- just got my approved noa2 confirmation on the phone today, but website hasn’t updated with approved. Did anyone else have this happen and did it change later? Just making sure the person was correct in saying we have been approved lol

2- what exactly is the ds-160? I’m confused because my fiancé got his police background check from Belgium. Does he also need the ds-160?

1. That's normal and everyone is experiencing it. You say you got your NOA2 confirmation you don't mean you got your "case number"?

2. It's a form that everyone has to submit for the interview. Some Embassy's will let you submit it anytime and others require you to submit it before they will send the P3 letter or schedule your interview. Details here

The VJ Portal for your Embassy list some information. Caution it is about 2 years old and some procedures may have changed. So use it with caution.

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Belgium&cty=Brussels

What you need for the interview is outlined in a Packet 3 letter commonly known as the P3 letter. Within it contains all the information need for the interview. I usually have a copy but for Brussels I do not have one. If you get a copy I would be indebted to you as I will help others with it that come after you. Contact me via PM her on VJ.

Are we supposed to get a letter with our case number? Still haven't gotten anything from case number last Monday. Do I need it for the interview?

Yes you will get a letter with your case number but it will either be emailed to you or sent snail mail. You don't need it for the interview. BTW, you are wasting valuable time as you now have the case number and you do all the "leg" work for your interview at USEM. I'm going to give you everything you'll need. If you read and follow the information chances are you will have your visa in your hand in less then 25 days. This is GREAT information. Also, it's time for you to move over to the sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ and your Embassy specific questions can be asked and will be answered by experts who have "been there and done that'. Invaluable information.

Once you receive your case number it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get done. To smooth that trail for you I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps he includes the what, when and why to completing the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Next you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread are processing through another country they would be hard pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

You'll find this on Hank's website but I will give it to you early and that is the Packet 3 Letter for USEM. It's found here:

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Here is the Packet 3 letter.

https://ph.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/82/2016/08/K1-and-K2-Applicant-Interview-Preparation-Instructions-08112016-English-336KB.pdf

There you have it. Everything you need to get your visa. Good luck and smooth sailing.

Hey guys! I just got my NOA2 update online this morning but I'm a bit confused on my next steps. Will I be getting the NOA2 hard copy in the mail or will my fiance (the beneficiary)? How does the case go from USCIS to my fiances local embassy? Thank you!

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

I gave the answer on what to do for Q38 and you even copied to one of your posts. That's all you do. Nothing else has to be explained.

Once again here is the answer:

In the new revised I-134 form dated 2018 - Question #38 now regards contributions.  You leave the yes/no boxes "unchecked" and your explanation is submitted in Part 7 on page 8 of the new form.

This is what you enter into Part 7 page 8:

3.a. "Page 4"

3.b. "Part Number 3"

3.c. "Item Number 38"

3.d. "N/A (K1 Visa Process For Permanent Residence)"

Just got our case # today :)

NOA2: Aug 14

NVC Assigned Case #: Aug 28

....I'm currently waiting for it to be transferred to Philippines, how long does it usually take ? Approximately 1-2weeks? :( I'm hoping that we can schedule medical and interview soon :( I have booked the wedding on Nov 10th. Do you guys think that we can make it by that time or should I adjust the date now? I'm pretty confident that we have all requirements except for that DS form, medical and interview.. hmm...

Thanks for the info, that was the last question I intended to ask here since it pertained to the case number and that letter. I was just confirming if I needed it. I have been gathering everything else, but it hasn't left the NVC yet and seems it won't be sent till Sept. 2-3. I'll be seeing myself out I guess...

Do you have your case number? That is the important item to move your case forward. You can pay the visa fee, schedule the appointment, complete the medical, go and get CFO started and gather needed documents as well as complete DS-160 for the interview. GO GO GO....:D

Our NOA2 date is 10 Aug, and we got our NVC case number yesterday.  I called in the evening - around 7 pm Pacific time.  I recommend trying that tomorrow.  I had tried last week before NVC received our petition.  I knew yesterday we were in business, because for the first time Angus asked for both of our full names and dates of birth.   Good luck to you!   :-)
