Hey, just my 3 cents here: Warsaw's embassy site states that the documents (such as a birth certificate) don't have to be translated unless it's court records.  UNLESS they are in a language different than polish or english. So it makes me believe a person  who wrote this checklist was form Belarus since polish embassy covers this country too and the money is rubles  (pln in PL:)

@Kamka check out this webiste if you haven't before. Good luck! https://pl.usembassy.gov/pl/visas-pl/immigrant-visas-pl/fiancee-pl/lista-dokumentow-wymaganych-w-przypadku-wiz-narzeczenskich/

Thank you. Is there a English version of that web link? I'd like to read it and also share where I can with others.

Yes, next batch is September 4!

Is the "batch" thing just speculation?

Let's apply common sense to the issue of pictures.

USCIS and NVC plus your Embassy want pictures that are "current" meaning within 6 months. So you are sitting around with pictures taken 8 months ago. If you haven't change your hair color or if a man you haven't grown a beard, mustache or other facial feature that will change your look then no need for new pictures. There is nothing on the picture that would indicate the date taken. So use them and save some money. Relax. This is not an issue that will get you a denial.

I’m told that current DS160 doesn’t require an uploaded photo any longer, can y’all confirm?

No, it is not speculation. The last big batch was sent on August 21, the next one is 2 weeks from that date. Some cases (like mine) may be left behind and mailed in a later date ( mine should have been mailed out on the 21st batch) but we can't guarantee when the packets will be actually mailed out.

My fiance just did his DS-160 and it did not require a photo!

Okay, but my question is:  how do you know when the 'batches' are sent out?  Is that publicly available knowledge from NVC itself?

ohh...well someone started to track the mailouts that NVC did and they came up to the conclusion that NVC does a big batch mailout every 2 weeks and up to now...that 2 week big mailout has been consistent. on September 4 you will see  a bunch of people posting that their status changed and then you'll see it in september 18 again..( every 2 weeks basically). :P

Update: I know it's soon for me, but I decided to call NVC (603) 334-0700; waited for 17 minutes.

NOA2: August 15th.

They have not received my case, and told me it will take up to 6 weeks. So, I will try back the end of this week.
