Thats possible! Maybe they received a bunch of emails around the same time you sent yours and are trying to catch up. I'm sure you'll hear back soon :)

Where did you find that out about your embassy?

May I ask which email from the NVC you've used?:)

Follow the directions from the P3. I have an advance copy for you to use to plan and prepare for your interview.

Anyone able to book their interview yet? Our case status is "At NVC". Is it safe to schedule interview for mid-September?

Here is the letter that you will receive from Mumbai Embassy. If you need Nepal let me know. But read it over carefully and follow the instructions. Another member of VJ added some additional information contained below which outlines what he experienced.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xukUjdqnKM7yqrkqfPfl8tCao_BY2XsC/view?usp=sharing
https://photos.state.gov/libraries/mumbai/1057584/senkx/BMB%20IV%20Packet%204%20for%20Ks%20January%202015%20Revision_001.pdf

Once you received your case number from NVC,  I would recommend you fill out DS-160 form and submit. Some say the packet 3 letter is nothing just waste of time same thing they have mention which you easily get from USCIS website when you called to the clinics to book your medical appointment date they will ask you have you received your packet letter or not. Just say yes and booked the appointment date however you will receive that letter within 2 weeks the day you will get your NVC number.

Go on USCIS website make your account with password and then pay your fees to Citibank or Axis bank. They will give you reference number. With that number you can book your biometric and interview appointment date. The fees are 18,500 and for medical but I recommend that you carry 20,000 with you in the event you need more. Be sure to  keep at least 7 days gap between medical and interview.

No, US Travel Docs is connected to the embassy. You might be able to book on the website easily, but if your embassy doesn't allow early bookings they will cancel it and you will have to pay the fee again I think. You should check your embassy's policy on this before doing anything as you don't want to waste money.

Some Embassy "lock down" the ability to schedule the interview till such time as they are satisfied with the case materials for NVC and any requirements they have for the beneficiary. Always check the P3 letter for instructions. If you cancel an appointment you do not need to pay a fee again, even if the Embassy cancels it. Thanks for helping.

Hi! This might be a dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyways: I emailed NVC yesterday (August 8 NOA2) and they replied saying they recently received our case, but the case number isn't available yet. I'm assuming it takes a few days to input our info before creating a case number? Correct me if I'm wrong! The reply seemed generic... It said "We will send NVC processing instructions within 8 weeks"

The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non immigrant and immigrant visa type. When NVC states, as they did with you, that "we will send NVC processing instructions within 8 weeks" they are referring to a TRUE immigrant visa type such as a CR-1. That is why in future correspondence the links may send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 even though it truly is a non immigrant visa requiring I-134. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant. It stays that way until after approval and ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non -immigrant. It truly is a non immigrant visa with immigrant intent.

And, to your other question, it does take a few days or even a week (I've seen more but that is not what is normal for now) to get your case number about mid week or toward the end of next week you can start calling NVC for the case number.

I hope this helps explain a few of your questions.

Hello everyone. New to this forum. K1 was approved on 08/24/18.

Current embassy is Abu Dhabi and needing to transfer that to Islamabad Pakistan. Anyone have any advise, or information for this...

Thank you to everyone and good luck on the next phase to all:)

Embassy currently Abu Dhabi UAE changing to Islamabad PK

If your case is not on the way to the embassy yet, changing Embassy's should not cause delays. Your USC fiance simply contacts NVC via email and gives them the information below.

Remember that you need to be a legal resident in the country you want to do your medical and interview in.

Address an email from the petitioner to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

Subject: Beneficiaries Case number / Beneficiaries name / Change of interview location

In the memo area (Where your write the normal email).

1. Beneficiaries case number

2. Beneficiaries full name

3. Beneficiaries date of birth

4. Petitioners Full name

5. Petitioners Date of birth

Sir or Ma'am,

I would like to request my beneficiaries interview location change to (Put your local embassy here) due to that being his/her work country. Attached is a copy of the scanned biographic page, and the visa page showing they live in that country.

The address of the beneficiary is;

Beneficiaries address in that country.

The phone number of the beneficiary is; (Your Phone number).

The phone number of the petitioner is: (Petitioners phone number).

V/r;

The petitioners full name

The petitioners phone number

The petitioners address

Include the scanned copies of the Biographic page, and the Visa page as attachments (PDF or JPG preferred).

If you wish to have your immigrant/fiancée visa file transferred from one Embassy to another U.S. Embassy/Consulate, please contact the appropriate U.S. Embassy/Consulate directly in the country where you wish to apply and follow their instructions for case transfer. Please click here for the full list of all U.S. Embassies and Consulates overseas.

The old Embassy will need to receive a formal file transfer request from that U.S. Embassy/Consulate in the country where you wish to apply. Upon receipt of this request, they will immediately forward the file for the New Embassy to process.

Once you contact your New Embassy, and you have already paid the interview fee, you then can discuss the transfer of your fee. Be sure to have your payment receipt available.

So for the case number use my WAC****** or wait for the NVCcase number???

If you wait for the case number it's is going to be harder to get this done. If the file goes to the Embassy then Embassy to Embassy transfer can take up to 6-8 weeks. Use the WAC and receipt number from NOA2.

That is strange and confusing - I'm assuming that "8 weeks" message is a generic reply they send to both CR-1 and K1's? To clarify, the instructions they will send me is for CR-1 aka advising me to fill out i-864, but I'm actually going to fill out i-134? (Montreal instructions state i-134 then i-864 when we apply for AOS)

Thank you @Greenbaum🙏

Well it only happens once and then I use the "mute" button here and I don't have to see their posts or anyone who is replying to them. It's like they just don't exist. I spend hours on here each day and collect information to use to help people. And its FREE. All you have to do is say thank you or acknowledge with one of the icons. Of course sometimes I don't have them but just the same the little thank you takes a lot less time then the answer that I gave them for their question. Oh boy. Now you got me going. I need to get a beer and relax. Let me know if you need anything else and let me know how you did on the case transfer. I am always curious to the outcomes.
