Thanks. And if the case is ready does that means we can do the interview as they have our petition?  I am just trying to decided whether to schedule it on Sept. 17th or wait until Sept. 24th. I don't want it scheduled on Sept. 17th and then I have to cancel it as I am trying to base my flight so I can be there with her on that day.

Yes, as instructed, you can schedule your interview once it's case ready. But I know a lot of people scheduling their interview ahead of time even though their case is still at NVC or in transit. I think you can reschedule your interview 2x, after that you have to pay another visa fee to schedule.

Yeah for the Philippines you can schedule it while it is still at the NVC, but I was told you may want to schedule it about 30 days in the future because it may take 3 weeks or more to get to the embassy.  That is why I am hesitate about the Sept. 17th date (23 days away) vs the Sept. 24th date (30 days away).  As I don't know for sure if that is enough time for them to have it yet and if it will be ready by then.

I suggest to schedule it once your case is in transit, as what I've noticed it will only take 1-3 days for the case to be "ready"

Yeah I understand that. I just am trying to book my flight now too so I can get a better deal then paying a fortune later at the last minute lol.

My case status changed to "In Transit" yesterday evening (August 23). I'm guessing NVC uses a different method (not DHL) to send petitions to Guangzhou (China).

I'm trying to submit a request on ASK NVC on the following address but I keep getting "Invalid Date of Birth" error. Any ideas?

I chose from the calendar icon and picked up the date.

 

The date reads 15/February/1980 when selected, but when I try to submit it - it says "Invalid Date of Birth"

OMg....the same thing happens to me. i finally gave up because i tried EVERYTHING and it doesnt work. my date is also February....so idk if it has something wrong with the month.
