Apologies if this has been addressed before but I've seen people mentioning their Invoice ID Number. Is that something we need for the K1? I called NVC on Monday and got my case number. Should I have asked for an Invoice ID Number as well? What is Invoice ID Number used for?

Does anyone know of a step by step guideline to fill out the I-134. I was a bit confused at first because I went from the "petitioner" on the I-129f packet, to now the "sponsor?" i.e. Part 3 (page 4) is a bit confusing. I want to make sure I fill it out correctly when the time comes. Also, if we do not need another sponsor (besides me), I only fill out the I-134, right?

I see most people its been taking 13 days to receive case and 14 days for case number.  Tomorrow will be 14 days for us without it being received.  Hopefully, it will get entered into the system tonight or first thing in the morning so we can have case number by that afternoon.  It may be Friday or even Monday if we are not lucky though it seems :(

Call 603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888 Be prepared for a wait. Tell the operator that you are requesting a case number for your K-1. They will ask for the receipt number located on the left top of your I-797 (NOA2) form. Then he/she will either tell you that they have not received your case or you will be asked for the names and date of birth. If they don't have the case, you will be told it can take 30 to 45 days for them to receive it and to wait however many days/weeks and call back. That's a pad answer so ignore it. You can call back the next day or as often as you want. NVC's hours are 7am to 12 am (midnight) eastern time. Monday through Friday except Federal Holidays. Calling early at 7 am on the dot will get you in the fastest or calling late the lines to be open most often.

 

When you have your case number, enter it here https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx and it will tell you one of three things... At NVC, In Transit, or Ready.

Hi @Greenbaum

 

Just out of curiosity to call and get our Case number do we need the receipt number on the hard copy of our NOA2?

My US fiance is away atm (for another 3.5 weeks) and there's no way he can check the mail to get it.

Can he have it faxed to him?
