Just a quick question Im worried pls help! I received an email listed all the documents that I need to bring on the interview. It doesnt says I need to bring Affidavit of Support (which he already submitted on I-129f application) new intention to marry letter and proof of relationship. All that I need to bring is just my documents like BC, NBI, Cenomar, and passport etc (beneficiary) Do you think we really dont need that on the interview?

That email list is not complete. Over the years we have had to email the Embassy and tell them of some of their errors and items that were left off and were still being asked at the interview. So tell him that you must use all the links I provided to get through this. Hank stays on top of changes and trends for USEM so ignoring him puts you in a position that is hit or miss when it come to passing.

I would highly recommend that you spend time in the sub-forum for the Philippines because every day their are questions and observations being reported and knowing the topics and the answers only can help you navigate this process. Just my 2 cents. Take it or leave it.

Hi guys Want to know one thing when we will receive that packet which we can’t open

That package will have the "do not open" envelope and your passport. Just take a razor blade and just below the passport make a slit and remove your passport. The package then should be placed in your carry on and not to be given to anyone other than the immigration officer at your US POE.

Yes I understand that and been trying to explain that to him. Anyhow, He's going to send it to me this weekend. Thank you all for your concern. Hopefully next week I'll have my medical & interview sched. Atlast! ☺️

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

DO YOU HAVE TO FILE A ds 160  BEFORE THE CONSULATE CONTACT YOU ?   PLZ ELABORATE!

DO YOU HAVE TO FILE A ds 160  BEFORE THE CONSULATE CONTACT YOU ?   PLZ ELABORATE!

Each Embassy is different. Most do not require the DS-160 be filed before you can schedule your interview. But some do. I'll add the instructions for Morocco below. The DS-160 is required before the interview and that last date of filing that document is the day before. Here is what I have Embassy: (If you get a checklist or P3 letter from the Embassy could you share it with me as I collect them so I can help couples such as yourself that come behind you. Thanks.

Once you get a case number, you can fill out the DS 160 online. Print the confirmation page for this once completed.

Once it says "Ready" that means you email the consulate and request an interview. Include your name, fiancés name, case number and that you're looking to schedule a K1 Fiance Visa interview. I heard they'll email you back within 2 weeks or so but I heard back the same day I sent the email.

When they email you back they'll tell you when your appointment is. Attached will be packet 3. Includes a list of doctors to choose from for the medical , your rights and your appointment letter. At that point - just get your papers together. My fiancé Got his police records in a week. Court records same day. Celabecy letter same day. And birth cert in the same day. Once he had them, he dropped them off to be translated. Picked them up in a week. Already you're at 2 weeks for gathering the fiancés paperwork. On top of that make sure your fiancé sends you their documents (I-134, proof of relationship, taxes, pay stubs, letter from employer, updated letter of intent..) watch a YouTube video of how people put their documents together and Good luck... I asked for help on here from some awesome couples and now that I'm at the finish line, I'm glad I could offer help as well... but if your attitude is you'll just sit and wait well then I don't know because we've rushed quite a few things and God for big a hiccup happens along the way... leave time for the hiccups before the interview

Can he send all the docs to me via email? What are the docs that need to be original? Thanks

As I stated in an earlier post he cannot send ALL the documents to you via email. The I-134 requires a wet signature (original signature) and not a scanned copy. Now to cut down on the expense, it's best if he only FedEx the I-134 and scan and email the other documents whereupon receipt from you, you print them locally to bring to the interview.

I finally have my visa and I'm flying to the US on October 18. I want to thank you all guys, your experience helped me a lot in this process!

Can you please give me a link to the AOS forum?

I tried to find it myself but saw a very old one only

There is only one and can be found by going to the blue ribbon at the top of the page and choosing "forums" then scroll down through the list and you will find it.
