No one with any certainty can tell you when your case is going to be sent to your Embassy. The only thing we can point out is what we see. Currently we see cases being sent every other week on Tuesday/Wednesday. This is what we have seen over the past two months. Your mileage may vary.

@JayHouser The information that Najee has given you is incorrect. Your file is not going to USEM (US Embassy Manila) but to your Embassy. No one can say how long it will take till it arrives but only give you their guesstamation. I believe, from my experience, that a 10/17 interview date is doable. If your file hasn't arrived to meet your appointment then you can move your appointment to a more suitable date without penalty. Keep following your case at ceac.state.gov.

Here is the letter that you will receive from Mumbai Embassy. Read it over carefully and follow the instructions. Another member of VJ added some additional information contained below which outlines what he experienced.

Once you received your case number from NVC,  I would recommend you fill out DS-160 form and submit. Some say the packet 3 letter is nothing just waste of time same thing they have mention which you easily get from USCIS website when you called to the clinics to book your medical appointment date they will ask you have you received your packet letter or not. Just say yes and booked the appointment date however you will receive that letter within 2 weeks the day you will get your NVC number.

Go on USCIS website make your account with password and then pay your fees to Citibank or Axis bank. They will give you reference number. With that number you can book your biometric and interview appointment date. The fees are 18,500 and for medical but I recommend that you carry 20,000 with you in the event you need more. Be sure to  keep at least 7 days gap between medical and interview.

Well reading the above topics. I'm more confused now..we got a mail about case being ready and left nvc to mumbai counsulate on 20th . So i did pcc, ds-160, medical also got interview date for 12th oct. Now im worried whether they'll receive the package before or do i have to reschedule. Have to do travel arrangements aswell. Also they say clearly that benificiary can now do further actions about medical, ds-160 and rest. Its sooooo confusing no clue what to do now..after soooo many attempts we got this date. Dont wanna mess up with this.

Your going to be fine. Your doing everything the right way. Have you received any updates on your case at ceac.state.gov? That's where it will tell you if your case is "ready". Also, you should move over to @A_R thread where you will be able to ask questions from others who are processing in India. Or seek him out with a PM.

Thanks yeh im on there thread also yes the case was ready on 20th and its with mumbai counsulate. I tracked. Whats taking so long for them to open and send the email i dont understand

Hi @Sanjana dogra  After your case is received at Mumbai Embassy as per CEAC website it will take about 10 working days for you to receive the Packet 4 via postal mail . I'm not 100% sure but you ma email the Embassy n ask them to provide the P4 via email .Can't say whether they will do it or not. So with this time frame you can plan your medical n ofc n interview.

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps he includes the what, when and why to completing the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

Thanks @Greenbaum I do have this information.  I do not have a letter from NVC.  I've called twice and they stated that they wouldn't send any communication until the case is forwarded to Manila embassy.  Will the email they will supposedly send when that happens suffice as the necessary "letter" from the NVC?

SLEC wants the Interview letter from the National Visa Center (NVC) or Visa Interview Appointment Confirmation from the Embassy (just print off a screen shot of the confirmation page once your appointment has been secured) either or.

 

• Principal Applicant - original & 1 photocopy
• Derivatives - 1 photocopy each

 

If Interview letter or Visa Interview Confirmation was received via email, print 2 copies for the principal applicant and 1 copy for each derivative. The letter form NVC will eventually get to you but you do not need it to complete anything in the Philippines.
