Is anyone else from August still waiting on the NVC to receive their case? I feel like I am going crazy over here. Called USCIS a couple of times said that NOA2 was given and that is all they can see. Called NVC and they stated the standard "It can take up to 6 weeks" line. I just talked to a Tier 2 and USCIS and he said that it the I-129F should be sent automatically to NVC within 30 days of NOA2 (I am currently at 27 days).

I just wish USCIS could just confirm if they sent it or not but they say they cannot see that information. This part of the process should not be so difficult and I feel like I am getting the runaround from everyone I talk to

Nothing about this process is exact or that you can bank on it to be accurate. It's always changing. I can tell you my experience from yesterday and tomorrow it changed. Go figure.

@GreenbaumI know that sir. I'm only quoting your 'pretty accurate' if you'd like to see what you wrote :) That's why I'm sharing my experience so others can be aware that not every case is the same especially with the timeline. Okay? Alright!

Hello all,

Some details to update everyone that may be in the same boat as us:

NOA2: Aug 29

Case #: Sept 24

CEAC status: At NVC

Note: My fiance (petitioner) emailed the NVC on Sept 18 requesting for the status of our case# and we received an email response yesterday. We still have not received anything by snail mail.

Did you know that case files are sent electronically to USEM from NVC, then followed up a few days afterward with the paper case file hence that's why you have two dates. 'Pretty Accurate" I must admit. :D I bet you have been waiting for your file to be set to ready before you starting the paperwork and scheduling the interview and medical there in the Philippines.

Here is the letter that you will receive from Mumbai Embassy. Read it over carefully and follow the instructions. Another member of VJ added some additional information contained below which outlines what he experienced.

https://photos.state.gov/libraries/mumbai/1057584/senkx/BMB%20IV%20Packet%204%20for%20Ks%20January%202015%20Revision_001.pdf

Once you received your case number from NVC,  I would recommend you fill out DS-160 form and submit. Some say the packet 3 letter is nothing just waste of time same thing they have mention which you easily get from USCIS website when you called to the clinics to book your medical appointment date they will ask you have you received your packet letter or not. Just say yes and booked the appointment date however you will receive that letter within 2 weeks the day you will get your NVC number.

Go on USCIS website make your account with password and then pay your fees to Citibank or Axis bank. They will give you reference number. With that number you can book your biometric and interview appointment date. The fees are 18,500 and for medical but I recommend that you carry 20,000 with you in the event you need more. Be sure to  keep at least 7 days gap between medical and interview.

oh, opps I don't think my fiance put it on there, we will have to redo it.

The DS-160 is a strange animal. It starts out as a generic form, the it becomes tied to your Embassy and the questions from that point forward is what the Embassy is looking for. So look at your saved copy before creating another one to ascertain if it is required. I would think that you would have seen that if it was required when you were completing the first one.

Just a quick question about the I-134.

My fiancé is self employed. We’ve filled out the form completely and then he’s going to send me his last three years of IRS statements.

We’re over the poverty guidelines for sure, but will we need anymore information?

On the required documents for london, all it says is to bring the I-134 form..
