I am also Dutch, just like your Fiance, and I was able to do my medical exam with just having my casenumber. So if you call again tomorrow tell them you have a casenumber. They want prove of that so did you ever got an email saying that your case was assigned a casenumber? Because that email is enough prove.

If I understood everything correctly than the packet 3 will be send to your Fiance. The packet will ask you to send the Embassy a copy of your passport and a copy of the DS-160 confirmation page (saying that you filled it in and you paid the fee). Maybe it will ask for more documents but you will find that out once receiving the packet 3.

After you’ve send the documents back to the Embassy you will receive Packet 4 which is allowing you to schedule your interview.

Maybe there is some information missing in my explanation so just google around and check VJ :)

Thanks so much!!

Can anyone help us with the next steps for proceeding k1?

We got NOA2 - Aug28

NVC Case Received - Sept 14, NVC Case Number Sep 17 and we also got the invoice number but we don't know what to do with that. We are filing at Johannesburg Consulate. Does anyone have the Packet 3 information for Johannesburg Consulate?

Same NOA2 as you and still no feedback from NVC. We did get an email notification from USCIS 14/09 advising that recent processing action had taken place on our case - perhaps that’s when it was sent to NVC? Not sure how long it’s going to take from here.

In the same boat as you guys.  My NOA is Aug 28th and still waiting for NVC Case number :)

Depends on the country

Sorry, i didn't specify that I was referring to the fact that they are processing through Sydney. My fiance just got his interview scheduled and was able to pay the MRV form before it was marked "ready"

Ignore it as it doesn't pertain to the K-1 visa. That's for a CR-1 and NO you are not approved for a CR-1 it's just a glitch In the system.

Just received an email that says my file is being sent to the embassy in Santo Domingo. Does that mean I can go ahead and schedule appointments?

CEAC says "Ready".  My fiancee is going for her medical exam in Australia today.  But she sent packet 3 to the Sydney consulate a week ago and hasn't gotten a response from them that they even got it (not even by phone).  I just started a thread for this in the Australia/NZ forum.

June 2016: We started writing to each other

June-July 2017: Met in person in the US for our first anniversary

December 2017 - January 2018: Met again in the US and got engaged

01/09/2018: I-129F sent to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox via FedEx

01/16/2018: Received NOA1 (NOA1 notice date: 01/11/2018)

June-July 2018: Met in person in Singapore and Australia for our second anniversary

08/03/2018: Notice date on our NOA2 (updated in USCIS's new website on August 6)

08/15/2018: Our case reached NVC

08/22/2018: Received NVC case number

09/04/2018: Our package left NVC (arrived 9/11, and she sent packet 3 that day)

09/20/2018: Received packet 4; scheduled interview

10/30/2018: Interview - told that we're approved!  Now waiting to receive the visa...
11/27/2018: Port of Entry at BWI

12/1/2018: Our wedding!

12/8/2018: Filed AoS on the way to our honeymoon (12/8-15/2018)
6/~7/2019: EAD and AP approved
09/25/2019: AOS interview in Orlando -- approval and green card!

Next step, June 2019: Filing I-751

Note: My wife is a Singaporean.  She moved to Australia before we met and got permanent residency there.

It appears not because my fiance called USCIS too and they said they sent our case!

So, if USCIS is not involved and the file was sent to NVC and they have not received it, then chances are it's on its way to NVC and requires a little more patience and follow up. I hope it arrives soon for you guys.

1. if he's an IT consultant his occupation is in Computer science not health care.

2. If your cousin entered the US in Aug 2018 under K1 visa she is living in the US so yes you have to declare her.

Maybe @Greenbaum can help with wether or not to declare your sister.

Hello everyone! Our  NVC status  is ready (dates changed 3 times : 10 Sept >>14 Sept>> 17 Sept) ..whew ..i dont have any idea why ?&*#@

Was it because we are under K1/K2? The dates mean nothing. Pick a date and move on. There isn't anything that requires and exact date in this process when it concerns any approvals.

Well moving forward, I just  hope  for our packet 3 to arrive  soon..(praying it will  be this week!!!)

So while waiting, we paid for our MRV fee and started to fill in DS 160 application.

However,  I need inputs on the following items below.  Forgive me as its really silly, but can't afford to make mistakes now..so here are they:

1. My fiance works as IT consultant under the  Medical//Health industry in US.  So under Fiance Occupation drop down list, theres no IT Consultant, But there is Medical/ Health and Computer Science.  So which one should I choose? Choose the one that is closes to the one that reflects his job function. Picking the wrong one in and amongst the sampling will not do harm to your application.

2. I dont know any relatives of mine living in US.  However, recently learned that my cousin entered US in Aug , 2018 under K1 visa.  So,  we have to declare that I have relative/s in US ? A cousin is a relative so she/he must be included in the application.

Also,  my sister is currently in US under tourist/business visa, should I declare that as, I have immediate family in US?  She's  leaving the US by Nov and will be back to NZ where she resides. List her and add her exit date as well as any other information about the type of visa she entered on. If you need more space use the area at the end of the DS-160.

@Greenbaum  please shed some light here?

Thanks in advance!

I hope this helps.

@Greenbaum How can I track my case on DHL website now that it is in transit?

Go to www.dhl.com click Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, and on this page you add your search information. You change the day and month to what you think your package might have left NVC or call NVC to get the date your package had left NVC in route to Manila then go to the DHL website and enter the following information:

EXAMPLE:

* Shipper´s Reference : EXP 24 MAR 2011A

* Date range for shipment - From: 23 - 03 - 2011

* Date range for shipment - To: 26 - 03 - 2011

Account Number - Leave this blank

Shipment Destination: Manila / Works for any Country

You can pay the MRV fee at any point, you do not need to wait for the status to be "Ready".

Phew ha. Reading through the posts I thought we'd messed up as we paid the MRV fee while our case was "At NVC". Thanks for settling the nerves!

Still hoping to see our case switched to "In Transit", when we got our case number the operator said it would go out in the next batch (few days) - so hoping they're right.
