I get this same message. Does anyone know what this is and why. Ive had my case number for about a week now....

Ignore it as it doesn't pertain to the K-1 visa. That's for a CR-1 and NO you are not approved for a CR-1 it's just a glitch In the system.

You do know that you can begin by paying the interview fee, schedule your interview, complete the DS-160 and submit, complete your medical and CFO. Get your BC, CENOMAR and NBI clearance so you are ready when your interview date arrives. If everything falls into place you could be on your way in 30 days. One couple did it in 22 days from case number to interview approval.

Congratulations on getting your MNL case number.

Thanks! Really appreciate it @Greenbaum 🙂

Vaccination question and DS160.  My beneficiary does not have a vaccination record, but she has had vaccines in the past.  We are going to get her a few more before interview.  Is it ok to select “yes” on the vaccination question regarding have you had required vaccines?

Is it ok to select “yes” on the vaccination question regarding have you had required vaccines? Yes as she will have them completed after the medical.

BTW check with your medical facility as the vaccines most times are included. Vaccines are usually cheaper at your medical exam.

Do you know what vaccines to get?

I would say 2-3 weeks. They will be sending batches every 2 weeks. Your case will prolly be in transit in 10/2, and will be ready in 1-2 days.

Oh wow thanks and congratulations!! Finally its over for you guys! Can  you share us your experience with the interview?

Hello everyone,

my noa2 is 28 august and as of today NVC had not received our case yet. My question is, how is it possible that people with noa2s later than mine already have their case number, is it luck with the officer at NVC or something else? I am overly worried and I would like to understand how it works over there!

Thanks!

Everyone must go through a number of security background checks. Once they are done the adjudicator looks over your submitted application and the security information to make decision. Security checks are completed for everyone. Some take longer others are a little faster. That's the reason they are not in any order for approval.

USCIS records confirm that the referenced case is pending background check clearance. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely manner while also ensuring public safety and national security. A small percentage of applications and petitions have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed.

If a background check reveals an issue that may impact an applicant’s eligibility for the requested immigration benefit, further inquiry is needed. The inquiry may include an additional interview and/or contact with another agency for updates or more comprehensive information. Upon gathering and assessing all available information, USCIS will adjudicate the application as quickly as possible.

USCIS realizes that the constituent may be frustrated by the progress of their case. However, the agency must balance individual inconvenience against broader issues of public safety and national security.

Is anyone still waiting for their approved case still to reach NVC?

My NOA2 date is Aug 22 and I just called NVC and they say it still hasn't arrived in NVC yet.

This is just so frustrating!

Same NOA2 as you and still no feedback from NVC. We did get an email notification from USCIS 14/09 advising that recent processing action had taken place on our case - perhaps that’s when it was sent to NVC? Not sure how long it’s going to take from here.

You booked flights and you don't have an approval. Oy Vey. I hope you have flight insurance.

Here is the recommendation contained on the checklist.

Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of properties, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you.

If you have the case number and you are not working with scheduling your interview, completing the medical and completing CFO then you are wasting time. I have posted this through out this thread.

Once you receive your case number it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get done. To smooth that trail for you I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps he includes the what, when and why to completing the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Next you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread are processing through another country they would be hard pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

You'll find this on Hank's website but I will give it to you early and that is the Packet 3 Letter for USEM. It's found here:

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Here is the Packet 3 letter.

https://ph.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/82/2016/08/K1-and-K2-Applicant-Interview-Preparation-Instructions-08112016-English-336KB.pdf

There you have it. Everything you need to get your visa. Good luck and smooth sailing.

If you read my comment and understand that when I said we've been PROACTIVE and have done EVERYTHING that means that I've read all the blogs, made the phone calls, made all the appointments, paid all the fees, completed all the forms, secured all the documents, made all the copies, got all the reports... Get the picture?

My post is only addressing the point that the NVC had my application a week before the last "batch" was sent.  Furthermore, I call every couple of days as suggested on here and every person I've spoken to can't confirm the use of a "batch" system and offers no useful information as to the progress.

I think I'm the epitome of being proactive and owning the process.  That doesn't change the fact that government is being inefficient.  According to their own statement, they minimally process at the NVC.  There's no reason why they shouldn't be able to actually provide a meaningful update besides basically saying "yeah, I got no clue, don't call us, we'll send you an email, which will probably be late anyway."

By the way, I got my hard copy NOA2 on the mail 2 weeks after it was approved.  I didn't get the email that it was approved until 2 weeks after that.  It didn't update on the USCIS website until then either.  Does that sound efficient?  What was the point in the G-1145 form?

Thanks for all the info, but your reply was a little condescending to what was essentially a valid vent to a frustrating system.

Hi everyone! Got our MNL case number today. How many estimated weeks for it to be ready? Please share your experience thanks!

There is a probability that you could be lucky to have your case as part of the cases to be sent to their respective consulates today/tomorrow.
