Hi whats the best thing to do about the NOA2 letter? Havent receive any letter yet. NOA 2 Aug 28. Thank you!

Expand

You could call USCIS and ask for an update as to when it was sent. Other than that not much more that I am aware of.

I'm sure this question has been answered but I can't find where!

Got the notification from NVC that it was being sent to the embassy in Paris on Tuesday. The CEAC website still indicates "In Transit." In the meantime, what can my fiancé do to prepare? Can he fill out the DS-160? Can he schedule an appointment? I'm just trying to streamline this as much as possible but it's SO confusing.

Thank you!

And if anyone has information on the Embassy in Paris, would be très apprécié!

Got the final answer today, we're finally approved! It's been such a long journey, can't believe we're finally here 🎉

FYI: The medical hadn't been received by the embassy before my interview. I got approved 2 business days after the interview.

Has anyone heard about your case being in ready status, but when you show up for the interview they say you need to reschedule because they haven't received the petition yet?  This happened to a friend of my fiancee...

@Tokenfreak That's what happened to me :)

You have the cart before the horse. Use the following links to help you navigate the process in the Philippines at USEM. You've wasted a lot of valuable time as you could have been knocking some of these things out while waiting for the case to be set to READY. USEM is one of the easiest Embassy's to interview with.

You should be ok. Usually USEM is pretty accurate with the "ready" sign.

@greenbaum Thanks for all your help!! But just want to say CEAC is not accurate on my part. Sept 6 it says Ready and it arrived in Manila afternoon of September 10.

I really appreciate your help @Greenbaum. My fiancè wants to receive formal letter/instruction from USCIS first before going to the next step. But I called NVC earlier they havent receive the case. Hopefully this Friday or next week. 🙂

Expand

@laprincesa04 I suggest give it 5 days between from when CEAC says 'Ready' and you interview date. You don't want what happened to us happen to you. Good luck ! :)

Hi friends, just scheduled my VAC and Interview appointment... for the interview app in DR there only seemed to be the month of October open. Do they open them monthly...all of November and December was closed...should I check  in a week or so to see if I can move it? I read you are allowed to reschedule once without a fee.

Normally the schedule is open one month at a time.

The USCIS tier 1 officer said my approved case was sent to NVC on 9/21.

@Greenbaum do you know how long does it take to deliver normally? 1 week? 2 weeks?

Expand

2-3 weeks is normal.

Nothing about this process is exact or that you can bank on it to be accurate. It's always changing. I can tell you my experience from yesterday and tomorrow it changed. Go figure.

I called them. The beneficiary isnt allowed to request for a copy. The agent told me that the petitioner should be the one to call.

Next time you call become the petitioner. You won't be the first. Or, try another day for another agent that will help you. This is a game and thinking outside the box sometimes will generate the answer you are looking for. IMHO.
