What Do We Do if We Can't Get Fiance's Parents' Info for I-129f form for K-1 visa?

Hello,

Hoping for some help or advice: my fiance's parents are not speaking with him or accepting him at home right now, so we can't get their personal information (DOB, place of birth, etc.) for the I-129f form for the K-1 visa. Can we file without it? Or get some sort of exception or waiver?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Also, your fiancé doesn't know his parents' full names, birthdates, what city they live in, or what country they were born in? Seriously?

 

Because there's nothing else about the beneficiary's parents on the petition form.

Any aunts, uncles, grandparents or family friends he could ask for that info??? I didn't know my parents' places of birth until I asked them but they were born in a country halfway across the world from the one I was born and raised in. I did know their birthdays though.

How did you two meet.. facebook/online etc?  There are numerous VJ posts of Indian parents disavowing sons who've met a USC online, trying to enter the US with someone who may not be the parents' ideal daughter in law (age/culture disparity). 

 

An adult son should know his parents city of birth, DOB, etc. Has he never wished them happy birthday?

I find it unusual that he wouldnt know ANY of it. 

 

For the stuff he doesnt, ask a family member. Sometimes that info is also on birth certificates or passport applications if he has that...

i 485, 130, EAD and AP

04/09/2019    NOA1 received/check cashed i 485 and 130 (direct adjustment)

11/10/2019    APPROVED (notification rec'd 11/10, approval dated 11/8)

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

 

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

 

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

10/14/21 Mailed to AZ PO Box. Let the waiting begin. Again.

10/19/21 Received Text NOA1
