Cover letter NVC?

Should we write a brief biographical sketch of our story (i.e. how we came to be married; addressing questions that might arise in the interview) in the cover letter or should it be limited to the list of documents included? We are trying to eliminate potential red flags and shorten the interview time as we know COs have to move quickly. Hope this question makes sense. Thanks for your input.

It is not necessary to explain to nvc, but  most of the time it is asked at the interview.

I would send only what is asked for, but I would be prepared to answer those questions at the interview.

I sent our story in with the filing of the I130, which will be in front of the IO. Bring all what they ask, originals of the copies you sent in. I had a huge binder with orginals, photo album ect. They only asked to see the photos. The embassy can be crazy, our interview was November 2017, 7am appointment, we weren't called to the window until 12pm. Their number system has no rhyme or reason. My friend's husband just had his interview earlier this week, they were at the embassy from 9am until after 1pm.
