Hi,

I filed I-130 for my foreign spouse on Oct 27, 2017 and it has been more than 9 months since filing. Initially when i filed, it was sent to Texas service center and later was transferred to California SC. When filed it was under F2A category and was upgraded to CR1 on April 2018. Is there anyone here with pending I-130 for this long ?

Thank you,

Call the California Service Centre but the long wait is usual for i130 petitions that are been processed at this service centre.

Don't expect anything until you're at 12 to 14 months of waiting.

I called them multiple times and they say it is outside of processing times and create a service request each time but nothing happens after that. I spoke to Tier 2 officer and she basically yelled at me and said 'just wait'.

I was under impression 12-14 month was for total CR1 process not just for I-130 ? may be i am wrong.

It was changed from F2A in April 2018.....that means an "immediate priority date" just became available......in other words, processing began in April 2018.  You have many more months of waiting ahead of you.

You are correct.  Your CR-1 processing started in April 2018.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

How,

Their processing time page does not list processing times for Spouse of a Citizen processing times.

I would involve the ombudsman
